Today beautiful views opened up from Tolsti vrh. On the path there are carpets of wild garlic, if anyone is interested in picking some.

Today on Kriška gora it was cloudy and windy up top. But still a nicely spent morning.

Yesterday on Kriška gora even foggier than last weekend, the path was quite muddy in the lower part.
After rainy days and rainy night lots of red fly agarics grew, which brightened our path.

Yesterday Romana and I from Tržič went to Kriška gora, continued to Tolsti vrh, descended to Mala Polana. There we stopped a bit (snack), then went to Velika Polana. We planned to continue on the path further, at least the "flat" part under Storžič, but since the weather didn't cooperate all the time, we turned at Velika Polana and returned to Tržič the same way. The path is well hikeable for these conditions. Lp.

On Sunday we did a circular path from Gozd to Tolsti vrh, Kriška gora and back to Gozd at the starting point.
Late autumn colors in summer temperatures, in short, it was hot velik nasmeh

After snowfall I decided to check how it is on Tolsti vrh. I started from Gozd, to the summit via Ježa, descended past Koča na Kriški gori. The path is trodden from both sides, of course more towards the hut, where especially on descent care is needed as it is icy in places. Fog up to ~1400 m, then clouds allowing good b&w visibility mežikanje

"Always gladly return to your beautiful embrace..." seems a known tune to me; yes surely applies to Kriška gora too, really wondrous almost fairy-tale in winter dress and clear day like Saturday with partial views; start from Gozd, mulled wine before hut, warm meeting with hiking soul Tanja and batteries recharged; small crampons very welcome; lp nasmeh

look at that one there .... that big one

this one also enjoyed the beautiful day.

From Gozd through Ježa to Tolsti vrh, then ridge to Kriška gora. After half hour sunbathing before hut, descent to fog. On ridge some frozen snow, else path no issues. Warm, no wind, nice views.

Today to Tolsti vrh and Kriška gora from Gozd. Path bare and dry, only a few spots of ice on top which can be bypassed. Sunny on Tolsti vrh, later it quickly clouded over and a light breeze blew up. Hut on Kriška gora is open.

...Nice Saturday and snow along the ridge attracted many hikers to Tolsti vrh. After the forecasted snowfall it will probably be the same story, or even more wintry...
