We were yesterday on the memorial hike under this beautiful mountain. Weather was fantastic, so
quite a few hikers decided to visit nearest peaks. Seven of us hikers decided to climb to Krn summit, from where the whole mountain world was visible, even far to other countries. Really wonderful.

Congratulations to the seven-year-old and ten-year-old for such a long and beautiful path. Nice to see them walking and enjoying the wonderful nature already, ADMIRABLE that such young heroes go on such path. Keep it up, do many more tours, see you often on forum and other young hikers, lp

zvončnica.. you completely misunderstood! Everything praiseworthy! But I'm also not a "representative" of shopping malls but an advocate of hiking in mountains and other hiking trails!!! so you lump me with those "shopkeepers"! I had a bad experience a year ago with CSD because of "excessive hiking" in mountains... I won't go further... I've already forgotten... it was about fouš of my ex's friend.. probably hers too... but as I said... I've already "forgotten" about it...

Today with family on the path from planina Kuhinja to Krn, descent over Batognica, through Vrh nad Peski and past the lake in Lužnica back to the starting point. Path dry, no special features.
Weather was perfect.

Not to open a new thread, even though Krn wasn't planned today and isn't the "star" of the description  ... after almost a "highway" I arrive at Krn village, where the parking lot is already full, probably because I'm a bit late too  . My today's hike and goal was Rdeči rob, something short, hmmm, but the day turned completely into another, longer direction  . I start on the road-track towards Kašina pasture, past Leskovca pasture, then the path starts moderately ascending and in the "little valley" I leave the marked path and head right for Rdeči rob. Before that a quick hop to Veliki Stador, then Rdeči rob and here it started, as the valley wasn't feasible, at least not so quickly, the peaks were calling ... I continued to Škofič, and a bit below the summit descended via steep grasses and then climbed back up under it to Mali Peski, over one little hump to Vrh nad Peski. Here I saw I still had time and went on to Batognica and Krn, and past Gomišček shelter descended straight to the hut at Planina Kuhinja, where I earned at least one radler .
Path without peculiarities, even though not fully marked, the trails are visible, pathfinder signs help; otherwise a kitschy day, views all around fairy-tale, photos "million", this circular tour very nice and varied. And even if you don't go anywhere higher, it's worth driving to Krn village and taking an eye-walk through the mountain panorama above Kuhinja, which is wonderful

This Krn with surroundings, @rozka, has obviously grown close to your heart. How many times have you been up there this year already? Definitely worth it. Very nice.
