Yes, a herd of chamois lives in this area, we also met them during Saturday's ascent to Krofička, no hikers, as there was a bad weather forecast, but in Logarska the sun was shining.

Last week on Krofička - beautiful mountain and super tour, although the forest part maybe drags a bit, the summit part is all the more interesting, and the view is wonderful too.

On Thursday, 31.10.2013, we were on Krofička.
The day was quite changeable, so we were almost all the time in fog, no views from the summit either.
The path in the upper part is nicely secured, only one bolt is pulled out, but the wire holds anyway.
But when we were returning to the valley, the cloudiness decreased and we even had some views of surrounding peaks

Hello! This Thursday I visited again our beautiful Logarska dolina, more precisely Krofička, Ute and Ojstrica. Krofička is bare and has two snow patches under the summit, which can be bypassed on rocks 
From the summit of Krofička two more snow patches are nicely visible in the north wall of Ojstrica - Kopinškova pot. So I had to descend back to the hut at Klemenčeva jama and go around via the path over the Škarje, where it was possible. But one snow patch before the Škarje summit is quite demanding, but not precipitous .
In short - above 1500m there are still quite a few snow patches, even on sunny parts, let alone shady ones, so BE CAREFUL and with a clear head on the way. As you know this week our mountains have already taken 5 souls! Slowly one gets far too and no alcohol up there please, ha ha,

Nice tour, congratulations. You could continue from Krofička summit along the hunter's path (difficult) to Škrbina and then Škarje, saving some elevation.

yes, true, but since I didn't know that hunter's path, and couldn't go via Kopinškova due to snowfields in Ojstrica's north face, I went to Ute and on, next time...

Today up hunter's path to Krofička summit. Descent via marked path to Klemenče jama and via Plesnikova planina to valley.
No more snow on hunter's path, but on descent via marked path still need to bypass large snowfield troubling some today's visitors downhill.
On way to Plesnikova planina biggest attraction Kačjek.

Nice tour, sometime continue to Covnik meadows and then Ute. From Ute along hunter's under ridge, joins the one you descended...cck. half hour before Puklovca, where it splits to Strelovec.

Yesterday on Krofička, up hunter's path marked. No snow, but hunter's path really orientationally very demanding. From meadow we went straight up wall to summit. Rock very crumbly, be very careful. Otherwise very nice tour.

Hm, guess you were in the group that arrived up around eleven yesterday? We were just descending when we heard voices at summit. Wasn't clear where you came from.

Today up past the hut below Utami and along the ridge to the summit. Descent in unexpected company along the marked path.
Morning quite wet to Movznik, then a fairy tale.
