Yesterday for the first time on Krofička. Very nice tour despite the heat.

Today on Krofička, it was excellent. The path from Klemenča cave is super although below the summit there is lots of loose rock and you need to watch out not to slip.

Today 4.8. it was Krofička's turn. Start at Dom planincev in Logarska dolina to Klemenča cave where the decision falls: go over Škrbina on hunter's path to the top. Path over that initial ridge without special features. Such as it is with loose chains but nothing has changed from two years ago. Over it quickly. Most worried me the fog that started appearing when I was still under Ojstrica. In doubt: go to Krofička or not, back I wouldn't go on Kopinškova as I went there recently anyway. Still I go. I'll see how it will be with visibility on the grasses on the south slope it's not hard to go astray in thick fog. Well, luckily it wasn't so thick. It rose quickly from Robanov kot and it was nice to observe how it hid and revealed peaks in the surroundings. Otherwise it didn't go without a tangle which ended very well. On the ascent to the summit part already when I was above the grasses I went too far to the right into the bushes. A chamois track lured me which suddenly ended. Nothing else left but fight with bushes and ascent straight up. Look at that and I find myself on a path that goes around the corner into the gully by which you come directly to the ridge where I spot Logarska below me. A few steps and on the top, alone. Žiga not there, well nothing. I get company, three come to the top. I have enough time, I won't hurry. And something hints at a muscle problem, I'll descend on the marked path. I have vacation, I won't strain myself. I could cross the ridge towards Utam. But next time. The three start descent into the gully and I find the marker, it seems someone pulled it out and threw it down. I put it back where it belongs. I descend on the marked path to Klemenča for a cold radler. I arrive at the starting point late afternoon. There was no muscle problem as it initially looked.

I started the tour at Dom Planincev in Logarska dolina. To the hut at Klemenča cave I hiked alone, a bit further from the hut I got company that overtook me: Benči, and accompanied me all the way to the summit of Krofička and back to the car.
To the hut at Klemenča cave it is dry, a bit higher there is already some snow, which is frozen, and I recommend crampons, especially on descent.

Hello,
has anyone hiked to Krofička these days?... I'm interested in snow conditions from Klemenčeva cave onwards... amount of snow on the path, collapsing...

Today Metod, Matej and I, as they say at home "got screwed". According to poorly checked information the path should have been more accessible. To Klemenči jama pasture no problem, from the larch onwards first snowfield. From the junction to Strelovec snow. More and more snow, wallowing, searching for passages, markers, and on top gusty wind at times that moved us around. Somehow we made it. In the summit book the last entry was November 2015mrk pogled

We also wanted to go up yesterday, but after talking with the caretaker at Klemenčeva jama we rather chose Raduha and obviously made the right decision...

Krofička is quite snowy and steep at this time. Nice tour!
A bit easier from the marked path (when it opens) up to the saddle between Travnik and Krofička and along the ridge right to the top. There is also a better descent, while there are still snowfields.

I was there 10 days ago...100m below the summit there are two very steep gullies which couldn't be crossed without winter gear, so I climbed directly up the wall past the gullies up to about grade 3 difficulty (cca 50m).
That was 10 days ago, but there was still really a lot of snow in the gullies, so if you're not skilled in using crampons and ice axe, I'd wait a bit longer in your place.

Friends from Croatia were on this route on Saturday 18.6 and the snow in that gully has melted so much that it can be bypassed and you go along the path.
The route is normally accessible without crampons and ice axe. To avoid confusion, snow is still in the gully but it can be bypassed and continue calmly.

The path to Krofička is normally accessible. Even through the snow patch you can cross to the other side in the lower part and then continue normally.
