And I really went. Since the afternoon weather forecast wasn't the best, I started a bit earlier in the morning and I didn't regret it, as walking in the morning cool was extremely pleasant. I went in shorts, carrying long pants for the short snowy section and possible bushwhacking. There was no bushwhacking, as I nicely caught the (new for me) path at the lower edge of the Lower Basin. Let me add here for repeat ascenders that in the only harder part, just above the scree, you veer slightly left and pull up on a dry root and bushes. Above this part the path turns right again and comfortably brings you above the Middle Basin. Good path followers continue on the imaginary path, otherwise you can go freely by Prešeren, as you're in open terrain. Real pleasure is walking on rocks and big stones, you can continue towards the ridge, thus avoiding the Upper Basin too, you need to step into a small gap twice. As long as there's snow, it's worth putting on crampons at the first opportunity, as progressing with them is much easier than on scree. At the saddle of course you take them off, also poles and ice axe, to the top about 60m of easy scrambling awaits. The summit logbook is not in the best condition, but I happily leaf through it, as I find myself in it every few pages @naključnež and @boy, the last 30m are steep enough and if the snow is icy, it's extremely demanding on the rocks left or right, so I warmly recommend crampons to you for at least another month. No thunderstorms, the spring under the bivouac nicely gurgles, in front of the bivouac there's a completely new neat fence. The forecasters blew it again and I wasn't in a hurry anywhere, so I was at the feast with Dana at Dovje before four, when Marjan Zupančič arrived at the parking lot in the framework of the new SPP record, where a van with refreshments was waiting for him.
