No need for crampons, just good soles, and even that only at the start of the via ferrata and on the upper plateau.

Today we took advantage of the nice morning and climbed the Mojstrovkas via Hanzova path. On the path practically no more snow patches obstructing the way. The path is well secured, nice views from the top. From Mala we also went to Velika and Zadnja Mojstrovka, on Velika still one snow patch but it can be avoided. On descent met quite a few foreigners who were barely climbing and I think they ended up pretty wet, because one hour after arriving at Vršič it poured properly and so it was all the way to Styria.

Today we decided to a bit «take advantage» of the younger daughter's absence and the older one fulfill her wish for a somewhat more demanding tour on «ledges and pegs». And we headed via Hanzova to Little Mojstrovka. Morning promised wonderful weather and the summit was very visited from both north and south directions. Up the climbing path by half eleven already some two dozen had climbed – of that approx. a third with helmets, others with kerchiefs, caps and hats for sun protection zavijanje z očmi. Already during the ascent we noticed mists rolling from the south towards the peaks. So we hurried even more to catch a tiny view, soon we couldn't see anywhere else but only to Velika Mojstrovka. So we abandoned the original plan – traverse to Kola – and descended back to Vršič. Still a nice, though short, tour.

Maybe some word about snow conditions in Hanzova...?

On the whole path you no longer step on snow. That snow patch that usually lasts longest at the entrance to Hanzova is steadily shrinking; only rocks at wall entrance are wet from melting. On that "level" bit below summit also one patch, which you can bypass or "refresh" a bit mežikanje. Good luck!

Today I was with a friend on MM. Via Hanzova up, extended to VM. Weather great, cables and pegs warm. Huge crowd on MM, almost alone on VM. Just a warning about the time to head to the mountains. We started at 5am from Erjavčeva hut, already damn hot, temperatures rising next days so... Boots on feet, hat on head, shades on eyes and go!
Cheers
A new day is dawning...1

Yesterday up Hanzova. Sunday noticeable, lots of hikers on this path, it struck me that many were still without helmets. On a path like Hanzova, in my view those without helmet on head have no business there, weekends many visitors and falling rock danger big.

I'm interested if anyone was today on Mala Mojstrovka via south route, and can tell if any new snow on path.

Today morning we went to Little Mojstrovka via Hanza path. First planned Slemenova špica too, but still quite foggy no good view. Hanza path well protected, rocks wet and slippery early hour. Nice views from path to Tamar valley, Ponca and Jalovec. Lots of hikers. From Little continued to Big, less crowd. Descended scree to south path Little Mojstrovka. Closer to Vršič more tourists on path, poorly equipped for Mojstrovka path (rocks sand), probably not farrolling eyes Nice morning ended at Tičarjev dombig grin LP

I'm going up tomorrow with mates. We called the keeper of Poštarjev dom at Vršič, she said no more snow. But very windy, almost winter conditions.

It'll be windy only today I think (that's why I didn't go to Kamniške), tomorrow different story.

Weather was super, sunny and maybe a bit cold (top about 5°C), so we put on hats and gloves. Descent on scree also excellent!

No snow; if there was any, the two-day rain has already finished it off.

Today I first drive to Planica to see if they've built anything new.
Already at ljubem miru 50m aside from customs, the collector rushes from the hut. I learn that Planica is already renovated, but a 15-min view without a parking fee was not possible. I turn around and drive to Vršič, where I park at Erjavčeva koča. Already low on the path to Grebenc, I meet quite a few Poles in half-high boots without sole profile. Well, I think they didn't even reach the top, because I didn't meet them on the way back and they were already huffing pretty hard 100 m above Vršič. I head to Solna Glava and further through rugged rock steps to the upper cluttered terrace below the summit of Mojstrovka and the end of Hanzova pot, which joins. A few more rocks and around today's windy ledges, and I'm already at the top! Above, it was blowing strongly from the north and quite cooling. I don't linger much on the cold summit and soon I'm back at Vršič. The tourist buzz at Vršič today gives the feeling that it's just starting.nasmeh

Yeah, really, I did hear something (talks) from below in between. Ahead of me someone approached on the same path; on top later I met one from Naklo and a young Czech couple who hid from the wind behind a cliff 50m below the summit. Later I saw two more behind me on Solna Glava. Did you get cold?.

Yeah, let me break this debate a bit. Viharnik, which peak do you mean when you wrote Solna Glava. Just that interests me. Well now let's climb to the end.

Good luck!
