I think he meant Nad Šitom glava, because Sovna glava is on the other side under Prisojnik.

Hello, I'm interested in the conditions of ascent to Mala Mojstrovka from the north side? Thanks for the reply Regards

There's little snow below the summit, since the path on the north side will be more or less cold and damp. Caution is not superfluous, the southern paths are nicer now I borrowed the picture.

Kremenckov ata, thanks for the answer. And pleasant weekend in the hills, if you're going. Lp

Tomorrow I'm going to M.M. and wonder if anyone was up there this week, what's the south path like, how much snow on the path. L.P., Lado

Today I was on M.M. There is more than half a meter of snow already at Vršič. A track and ski track have been made. On the scree there is more and more snow, in the notch about a meter. Along the ridge, which is quite corniced at the edge, one can easily reach the top. Snow is wet and rotten. Although snow on top is blown to gravel, there is huge amount again between big and little (a meter) down the whole flank to the notch. Super skiing, on "scree" super as all day in shade and snow more compact - but already quite ripped by skiers and hikers. Recommend, especially if it cools or new snow falls.

This weekend I'm going with mountaineering school to M.M. and really looking forward, waiting for that trip for months because I love hiking in Slovenia. Can someone tell me the water situation at Erjavčeva hut? Has drinking water? And wondering if crampons necessary?

Given current temperatures, winter gear is not needed, but since there will be snow in the next days and temp below 0, I think it's wise to take crampons and ice axe, you never know. Erjavčeva hut is open SONP (Sat, Sun, holidays), water is there. In the next days snow and low temps are forecast, base is there, but mm is known for avalanche slopes so caution is advised. Safe ascent

Today foggy with light snowfall, moderate wind and temp above glacier. Snow is rotten, which requires trudging of the worst kind, fog could cut like in Little Smuk's tale, so view=0. It was a good tour for fitness and soul. Snow as said rotten, sinks even on trodden places, too little even for brother's skis

Good for your soul and body. What about the dog's? Poor pup

I think it was probably colder for the owner of this cute pup and I think he didn't feel bad, as the breed (at least by the pic) likely from quite cold places where ancestors maybe "herded" sheep. Don't know, maybe wrong. Anyway Bobaje knows what his pal can do and such a tour fits his body and soul the same as his, especially if the pup is young. No hard feelings mukica.

Yes, as tisa wrote. As far as I know the owner of this pup, both are more in the mountains than in the valley.

Tisa, nothing to resent. Meant re rotten snow and sinking, not dog fur (cold). Have a chow-chow at home and know how strenuous a morning walk on fresh snow is for him. If both enjoy so much the better

Igor well said Ania really looks like "coolie" but it's aussie (Australian shepherd), hyper active like your Twigy. As for trudging I have to say sometimes I was messed by his 22kg, it didn't sink for him for me yes. Bigger problem is crusty snow that sinks for dog too and ice especially on steeper slopes - then best to turn. Since we do rescue too dog must be used to all bad stuff right.
