Very nice pictures, you Koraki, only at moments it looks a bit gloomy to me, as if one could meet a bear somewhere. Am I wrong?

I've been on the Golaks, say, 100 times, in all conditions and seasons, once I saw bear tracks in the snow, which probably crossed the saddle under Mali Golak towards Idrija at night or early morning. I hope this is not antipropaganda, but the opposite for this otherwise very friendly and unspoiled viewpoint that offers touring sports to Ajdovci all year round.

On Saturday afternoon I said to myself I'll go up a bit for snow, when leaving home it was cloudy so I said whatever. Right at the start of the hike a bit of blue showed through the treetops. At the top still some clouds, but as the sun started shining it cleared up. Wonderful sunset. Southern snow, at top +1, otherwise nice afternoon walk. velik nasmeh

This afternoon after lunch I said I'll go a bit into the snow, drove from Predmeja towards Lokve, parked there and into the snow. Went on forest path that joins path from Korenina. Path nicely trodden. Snow dry and unsettled, towards top a bit frozen. At top sunshine with light cloud cover. Beautiful panoramas to Julians. Return past hut, path there trodden like snowcat. Otherwise nice afternoon. In hut friendly service! velik nasmeh

On January 5th we walked from Lokve to Mala Lazna and onwards on trodden path towards Golaks. In the forest section the track was a bit ambiguous or then there was none, so we searched a bit and found. We got another path, partly trodden, leading directly to Iztokova hut. From there the path was, especially in the last part, fairy-tale like, enchanting. Felt like stepping into another dimension where daily worries completely disappear. When we descended it started snowing heavily, so we hurried.

Since I lost my sunglasses yesterday, I returned to these parts today. Unfortunately, I didn't find them, but it was extremely worth returning. Today it was even more fairy-tale-like than yesterday......Windy at the top and thus quite cold. Around 13:00 greyer clouds began to gather. The hut is open on weekends and also on full moon nights if anyone's interested. Of course, if someone finds the sunglasses and returns them, a reward awaits. nasmeh

Visited Mali Golak after a long time. Nice sunny weather. Not even windy. Not many hikers. Short tour. Some steepness. From top nice views. Triglav in clouds. Someone lent me binoculars, so I checked all peaks.

Yesterday we decided to visit Mali Golak. I chose this path for two reasons. First good weather forecast, second that I only miss Mali Golak stamp in SPP.
Along road from Predmeja to Lokve to turnoff for Iztokova hut where I park.
From there another half hour walk on gravel road to the hut, from hut good half hour to Golak summit. On path already lots of fallen leaves in places, caution advised.

Path otherwise unremarkable, only bora wind spoiling mood and views. Iztokova hut under Mali Golak unfortunately closed.
On return also drove to hut at Čavn and walk to Mali Modrasovec, where huts also closed.
