Today wonderful views in all directions. On arrival at the summit sunshine nasmeh

, then a bit cloudy. Otherwise icy, small crampons desirable.

Conditions without major changes, just a bit fresher. Yesterday at the hut -13, summit -16. Ascent without annoying flies and extra sweat on the forehead. Nice, just warm,.. warm, dress warmly, walk slowly without stopping. And those melodies, symphonies, stormy orchestra accompanied by tree cracking.

Today's goal was Golak. Start from Mala Lazna. There from Nova Gorica past Lokve to Mala Lazna. Weather was extreme. Temp -15 degrees, windy and slight snow. From Mala Lazna continued on icy road towards Vojsko. This path also to Ice Cave worth a visit. After cca 1.5 km turned right down under road at sign Golak - Iztok hut. Continued on snowy partly icy track to Iztok hut. Hut open. After 10 min break to summit. Snow ~15 cm, leeward wind made nice drifts, wading to knees in places. Summit -16, strong wind. Gusts so strong you could hardly stand. After photos quickly left summit too much. Nothing visible due to snowing. Return stop at hut, chat with friendly caretakers treated to goodies. But had to quickly leave warm hut as night was approaching. Return to Mala Lazna still snowing, ~10 cm new snow, our tracks gone.

Today on Mali Golak real winter fairytale. Snow to knees and sometimes over (not really small nasmeh

). Road to Predmeja normal drivable, further only with winter gear. Plowed. Thanks to trio ahead who trailblazed, still sank to and over nasmeh

. Day gorgeous, blue-white combos plenty. Valley bora, up there its slightly weaker version. This is winter, not what was before. May Fasching spare it at least another week zavijanje z očmi

Wonderful, we went to the Javornik area, but it was partly cloudy. We missed the goal.

Watched it all week, today went late afternoon. Southern snow, watery in places. From hut better. Summit +1.

Today David and I were on Mali, Srednji and Veliki Golak. Some snow from hut onwards, but mostly melts fast, watch frozen snow under leaves here and there. On Mali Golak recognized Ksenija with dog, we introduced ourselves and chatted. Very happy to meet. nasmeh

We continued, as now good time for other two Golaks, later too many snakes...esp on Veliki. Back same path, refreshed in hospitable nice hut with great jota to car.
