Night hike to Golak. Yes, really, "friend (bell ringer) called, you going on night hike, yes why not, where, to Golak. Bogdan leads. OK going, bringing wife too". And so we all met on Friday evening at 19.00 at the bus station in Ajdovščina and continued to Predmeja, drove another 1.5 km toward Lokvam then right onto forest road and drove about 5 minutes where we parked the cars. From there our group of eleven continued on foot. Night was clear, not too cold, but beautiful. Although the moon had not yet reached full shine, it was wonderful and nicely lit our path to the top without using flashlights. Iztok hut was open, but after a short stop we continued to our goal. Path was snowy, but too little snow for this season and month. Just below the top we met a group of runners who were already returning to the valley. After a short stop and views around, and photo session, we also head back, but only to Iztok hut. It smelled nice before the hut, but not from the hut, there were "Border Slovenes" who brought a pot of good homemade minestrone. Good we had no spoons with us. We wished them bon appétit and entered the hut. The warden couple made sure we enjoyed their treats, drank a glass of good drop, some even danced. Well, we also sang, accompanied by a guitarist. "I don't know how to sing, but I hang out for two". He he. After refreshment and entertainment we continued to the starting point of our tour. It was really nice and beautiful Friday evening, spiced up for us also by our colleague Marlen.
