So, winter equipment will probably not be needed?

That depends more on your movement in the high mountains. It's hard to say that crampons would be needed from Pecol up and down Pipan's ladder. That's the sunny side and by Sunday you'll probably be looking for patches of snow to cool down. In the couloir, however, due to possible snow patches, much greater caution is needed.
Good luck

Yesterday we successfully completed the tour to Montasio, up through the couloir and back through the ladder. There were 9 of us and we could hardly have chosen a better day. The conditions were really excellent, pleasantly warm and no more snow. The path through the couloir is really quite dangerous, rocks fly practically all the time. Mostly triggered by ibex, sometimes also by hikers. There was quite a crowd on Pipan's ladder, but none of us had problems on it. Problem arises only if three Italians come towards you somewhere in the middle, who think they are alone in the world and don't pay attention to others. But luckily the meeting somehow succeeded. After the end of the tour, I would recommend swimming in Lake Predil, as it really feels good nasmeh

Also this Saturday we had wonderful weather and views on Montasio. We set off from Pecol, climbed to the top via the couloir and descended back via the ladder. Quite a lot of visitors... on the way Bojan A. with friends overtook us .... he nicely greets you nasmeh and we wish you many more successful feats!
And the pictures will cheer up the rainy autumn days...nasmeh

Are all paths to Montasio normally passable without snow patches?

Related to the previous question, are the conditions also okay on the path Pecol - Špik Hude police / Cima di Terrarossa (Left)?

What exactly are you interested in? Given that for more or less 14 days the hot sun has been beating from morning to evening right on the rock, you won't come across any icy drifts..if you can't figure it out from the pictures of the previous post, then I don't know how else to help..

The road in Nevea is closed due to tree felling. Up to halfway on the road towards Pecol it's bare, then ice covered with new snow. The ascent and descent over the ladder nothing special.

Super nasmeh In what condition is the part from the ladder to the ridge? Snow there ok?

At the top of the ladders, ice just like everywhere, the same for the ridge except there's freshly blown snow from 2 to 50 cm. I mostly did the traverse on the northern side where there's an old hard base.

Hello

Has anyone by chance found a black woolen knitted band on Montasio today?

It was lost somewhere around the saddle or towards Osebnik.

I would be very glad to have it

Does anyone know how it is with the Stuparich bivouac now in the time of corona? Is it closed?

Officially all Italian bivouacs are closed. Unofficially, you can sleep quite nicely.

The bivouac was normally open 14 days ago, but there are notices in the bivouacs that they should not be used unless really necessary.

14.8.2021 - Montasio + Špik Hude police

Start at Pecol pasture, up through Findenegg's couloir, descent via Pipan's ladder and further through the Leva ferrata to Špik Hude police.

Descent via the normal route to a cold beer in the rifugio.

"In recent times," more than half a meter of snow has fallen on neighboring Kanin.
