As Lidija wrote before me, the same ascents are different every time. On Saturday I'm taking our youngsters into nature again, this time to Mrzlica. Weather and conditions completely different from the New Year's visit.
Almost no snow left, but ice remained and caused a bit of trouble to our eager youngsters, views wonderful again.

Yesterday's sunny day I went to enjoy Mrzlica, which didn't disappoint with its typical windiness this time either, as it was properly whistling around the ears right at the top; path without major features, in the last part the road icy anyway, so a bit of caution needed, but no problems; steps also icy, but the careful host sprinkled them, "that steep path" really nicely encased in ice; at the top enough snow for a bit of winter fun, hut "bursting at the seams" from numerous mountain lovers; views of course "top-notch"; cheers nasmeh

caution is not superfluous even on the road

Today, 18.01.2012 did this tour. In between I also descended to Jelenec - wonderful viewpoint along the path to Klobuk. Really worth the effort of those 3 minutes to this great vantage point.
On the way to Mrzlica I met quite a few female and male hikers. Path is dry almost to the top of Mrzlica, just right below the summit a small detour off the path needed to avoid slipping on your behind. Both huts have very friendly staff and good food selection.
Back to the valley - Hrastnik via Ravna and Boben. Seems to me this path is more suitable for descent and especially less steep and also shorter, just a bit more asphalt. Well, that's to be expected.

Today on Culture Day visiting Mrzlica again, path nicely snow-covered, real winter, thermometer shows -19 in the morning, on the ridge and meadow it blows so that it almost blows me away despite my modest kilos.

Savinjčan65, then Mrzlica was really cold, on the Čemšeniška plain at 11 a.m. the temperature was -3 in front of the hut.

Today on Mrzlica winter in the true sense of the word. Temperature at the hut -15°C, wind quite strong. Here and there appropriate snowdrifts. nasmeh

Mrzlica from Podmeja – you can even drive to the parking below the weekend houses without problems.
The fairly wide forest road to the hut on Mrzlica has been completely covered in the upper part by recent snowdrifts, but dozens of footsteps of lovers of this beautiful Zasavje mountain have trodden a nice narrow and safe track among nature's artful snow formations; Mrzlica, beautiful as always and in every season, didn't leave us indifferent this time either, on Shrove Saturday, as the sun generously showered us with already quite pleasant warm rays sparkling over snow fields and drifts in fantastic snow reliefs along the path, the panoramic summit offered again a wide horizon of visibility, tobogganers also got their fun, in the hut the friendly keepers surprised us with dessert over hot tea, suitable for carnival time, excellent homemade mice velik nasmeh

; and what more could one wish for? hurry to catch this winter fairy tale before the sun melts it completely; nasmeh

Today visit to Mrzlica. Views similar to yesterday from Kum - none.
Would warn hikers about forest logging on the path from Zabukovica direction.

It's not just any Mrzlica landscape park. Around May Day holidays everything usually blooms. Today I'll hop to see how the flowers look. Whoever doesn't have plans for holidays yet, I recommend a visit to Mrzlica, it's all blue from blooming Trieste squill and cowslips are just about to bloom.
If you head from Vrhe direction, like me today go for tea to the hut then straight over the top of the meadow back to the start. Views are wonderful towards KSA, but watch where you step since it's all blue. L.P.

Sunday was dedicated to another visit to nearby Mrzlica. Within the municipal action "Razpnimo jadra" the association every year organizes hiking activities. Trail start was at the saddle between Kamnik and Mrzlica. Path leads past nicely arranged hill farms, only the last part is somewhat steeper but with pleasant views to nearby peaks. Path is nicely maintained and well visited.

Today the weather was its own story, but on the way to Mrzlica summit you meet wonderful blooming meadows, such beauties are rare already.
Don't recommend path over Blate, because we started in Hrastnik and path over Klobuk we know quite well already, decision was - Blate direction, jezen
