Hi.
I'm wondering if the path from Strane village to Vojka hut, then to Suh vrh and back down to Strane village is passable?

The path is normally passable, we did a circular tour today: Razdrto, Nanos, Suh vrh, Strane and back to Razdrto.

The hut is always open on Friday because the caretaker sleeps up there for the weekend over winter, in summer also during the week. I know she would open it for you only if you called and announced. But she can't wait every evening until late whether someone comes or not, let's be realistic.

Today I popped up for conditioning training. I did a loop, up the steep one, down the gentle one. It was really nice and clean, but just below the ridge it was blowing certainly 100 per hour. It took your breath away! On the way back I met a chamois, but unfortunately it didn't want to be photographed.

I heard of the icerain and saw some pictures - I plan a trip on Nanos, does anybody know if the trail from Vojkova Koca to Strane - Smihel - Predjama is ok?

This afternoon I don't know where, depending on the weather with a friend on Gradiško tour, we go on the climbing one, a little rain, at the top of the climbing, down to the valley. When we return to the starting point the sun comes out and where now!? So we drive by car to the hunting hut above Podnanos and from there to Vojkova hut on Nanos, for good dumplings!!! In nice sunny weather, we arrive at the hut on Nanos 1246m at 17.54 h, on my watch which is a bit fast and what joy in front of the closed hut doors?!???  Where are my so desired dumplings, which are said to be so good up there!?! I turn to PD Postojna as the hut manager, because I didn't see the caretaker's address and hut schedule anywhere, even though I checked all the hut entrances!! When is Vojkova hut on Nanos open?? And the logbook is just an ordinary notebook, and I don't know if it's a book of comments and complaints!? and there was no ballpoint pen in the box, a regular pencil would do. To not think that I am perhaps very demanding hiker, but I have walked quite a bit, but such a "warm" welcome I haven't experienced for a long time!!

Upon later browsing the web I found the schedule of Vojkova hut on Nanos and hope they meant the same hut!!Opening hours

@Iuvi, obviously not, neither in PD Postojna nor at PZS. There have been numerous complaints and apparently the "gold mine" on Nanos continues... Not 100 visitors as reported in Tednik, on weekends you can clearly see the attendance at the parking lot below in Razdrtem (overcrowded and unprofitable huts)... Here of course the "background" of such persistence of the current keeper is clearly visible... The hut, which should be a "gold mine" also for PD hand on heart, is in very poor condition (really a shame!) and really needs thorough renovation - but the current or any other keeper (probably) won't take care of that. The owner of the hut must take care of that - the tenant pays the rent on time and behaves like a good steward. The control is done by the PD management board and the PD manager, who must have a "firm hand" in all this!
