Yesterday's more or less afternoon hike with wind in the hair was really pleasant. Although with murky views. But paths were full of hikers. Parking lots also full just before twelve. For a change we went from Razdrto on gentle path. Well, first time I climbed here. Usually descending. Maksi decided to jump in puddle with not very clean water. To little church he dried. At church of St. Jerome we learned they will film movie. Continuation along ridge to Vojka hut, where all full of hikers. Descent on steep path. Nice hike, just a pity no clear views. But after rain air will surely be cleaner.

...and we both went to the inviting peak.

For Maksij, the water was even more inviting.

On the gentle path there are signs for the easy trail.

On Monday we used the day for a walk on the Nanos plateau. We found that there are many little paths, roads and few marked trails. From Pleša to Suhi vrh we expected markings following one after another at a proper distance, but we had to use the phone app several times to continue. A first-timer on the plateau has many chances to miss the right path. Pity, no view due to a bunch of dusty particles in the air.

Barbara was 12 years old when she was on Nanos.
We went up the steep to Vojka hut for struklji, then to Grmada, to St. Jerome and back gentle way.
Nice weather, wind not too strong, quite a few hikers.
Hut nicely renovated.
Struklji only 4€.

Yesterday after five years again on Nanos. This time Škofja Loka retirees Četrkovci climbed Nanos. Start in Strane at cute church and century-old yews. Then marked path to Nanos. First time I went this path. Beginning quite rocky and not friendly. After good hour path leads to wild garlic greenery and pleasant shade. Along ridge pleasant walk bit down bit up to Vojka hut. Hut open and cold beer fits, yesterday very hot. Round hike ended with walk to Abram. From Vojka hut on Nanos to Abram about two hours. Our large group stretched time a bit. This time hike rewards with various flowers. Blooming from peonies to goldenroot. In a month edelweiss will bloom here too.

The start was in the village Strane at these century-old yews.

Obenem we also visit the chapel of Sv. Brica.

The path is quite stony in the first part.

Junction - to Vojkova koča on Nanos is another 40 minutes.

Our firefighters' bus was too small for such a group.

Back to Abram, where transport was waiting for us.

Almost at the end of our hike. We had a good time.

Did I see right, ... that up there somewhere in some inn/refreshment/house/hut ... towards the North, or northwest, along the ridge ... [there's an] outside pool? Maybe someone knows more? Thanks.

This morning up the steep [path], back the gentle [one].
Trail in order: everything as it should be nasmeh

Despite the fairly early hour, already muggy in the forest. On the summit area only a light breeze, views nothing special due to hazy air.

Flowers already in full bloom, but noticeably less than last time on Čavnu with surroundings.

On Sunday 12.6.22 I went to Nanos from Razdrto to the top via the demanding path. The view was excellent, on top a little wind just right so it wasn't too hot. Visited also Grmada and St. Hieronymus church. It was excellent.

When we don't have far to go, in the morning we set off with Maks to Razdrto. There are two parking lots there. Usually occupied. You can leave the vehicle under the windbreak by the road. For now no one is bothered. And it's not paid either. May it stay that way. On the steep path very stuffy. No breeze. Then higher up it blew a little. There were quite a few hikers. Usual for Sunday. Vojka hut is being renovated. Food and drinks provided in containers. We continued to Grmada. Otherwise have to go steep, because there where the path is routed fenced pasture. Doesn't bother. And to the little church of St. Hieronymus, which was open today. I took the opportunity and went to ring. Descent on the gentle path to the starting point.

Yesterday we set off actually by bikes, from Podkraj towards Abram and further to Vojka hut on Nanos, which is being renovated, new works. Weather was suitable, even that forecasted wind wasn't there, ... but we met two bears, one in a cage at Abram and one on the road, which quickly went its way we ours, ... it was fast, you can't escape it even by bike, ... nasmeh

Some yesterday's winter glimpses. These days the top of Pleša is clad in snow and ice. I don't remember so much snow on the steep path where I descended. There at the junction for Janez's path (local's path) the track tempted me. But even before the path goes steep, the wind blew all traces away. Since I know it, I had no trouble to the ridge. Wind there swirled properly. Gusts too. Further [on, everything was] decorated. If [the] sun had peeked out, which it didn't, it would [have been] like [a] fairy tale. It was [an] afternoon tour. After half past one I started walking. At [the] containers [I] met two more hikers who came up [the] steep path using winter gear. They said they also planned the local's path. But when I told them [about the] conditions, snow collapsing in that steep, [it] takes quite [some] strength[, they were] glad [of the] correct decision. And that it wasn't blowing around 3 pm on [the] steep path. Conditions at [the] antenna. There [it's] known bora pulls. On descent [it was] pleasant on [the] path. [With] little wind and finally sun peeked. So [I'll] say again. Steep path [is] trodden. But with winter gear. Crampons on descent until sign where junction to easy path. Lower down wind had plenty [of] work again.

you can tell it was cold the previous days.

The new hut will be quite large when completed.

With crampons I don't remember walking the whole steep path before.

22.02. 2023. From Razdrto we went on [the] local's path (Janez's path). Since I walked here in January in winter conditions, I was interested [in] how it looks now. Path still steep but muddy. Wind yesterday blew only [a] little. Hut not completed yet. Snow on [the] other side on shady slopes. We descended via Grmada and past [the] little church of St. Hieronymus on [the] gentle path. Added up to 9.9 km and 850 [m of] elevation gain.

The photo does not show the actual steepness.

This time by bikes from Vipava to Pleša with return via Bukovje, visit to Predjama Castle, cycling in Močilnik stream valley, among vineyards, sightseeing Vipava and ascent to Stari grad. On plateau many roads and tracks. Markings so-so and without phone app probably would cycle differently. Weather sunny and hot. Štruklji in Eko hut Nanos excellent as well as drinks at Pri Abramu, where [it was] all full. Tour for adventurers and nature friends. Recommend.

After good year again jump on Nanos on classic for conditioning: from Razdrto steep up, gentle down. All BP.
But first time saw on top cows and fenced pastures, specifically from summit part to fork before St. Hieronymus. So on this part path only that "main" wide one. Other side ones, "shortcuts" created over years plowed + blocked. In short: no more.
