Is the junction at Gladki vrh(Olševa) into the valley towards upper Ošovnik well marked? Thanks in advance to whoever answers me.

Junction to Ošovnik is approx 30 min further from summit along marked ridge. Marked with direction sign on tree on left side, junction on right.

Over grass down first few meters no marks then in forest and down all nicely marked and followable. But count on almost 5 km hiking on panoramic road if you leave vehicle at SV.Duh.

Nice ridge path, but descent from Gladki vrh to Zgornji Ošovnik is tough on knees.....

Stanko calls that he has time for the mountains on Tuesday. Where to, I decide myself...? Olševa and its sunny side immediately come to mind. Haven't roamed there since May. We park at the junction (Sv. Duh - Črna/Bukovnik). (7:45) Ascending forest tracks towards Olševa's ridge. Find the hunter's path and steeply up. Past blooming deadnettle, patches of snow here and there. Path is well traceable, yet we decide to go "our own way". Steep grass, jagged ridges, rocky towers, sun, clear sky above... what more could we want. Progress quickly and soon on the ridge, just a bit to Govca (10:15). Windy on ridge, don't linger. Next goal Obel kamen. Frozen snow remnants on ridge, no trouble on path. Of course seek trouble where none. Visit chamois bedroom (Stanko's wish) and fool around. No hurry... topography works full throttle whole way. Descend from Obel kamen and of course climbing again. Decide to check visible rock shelter for chamois and jackdaws. Up steep grass and bit of rock we climb there. Feed jackdaws, photo, they circle us of course. Return more spiced.. but.. goes... Short breather at blowhole and decide where now...? Under wall past windows (not Austrian)..? Again no without climbing and explorations. Sun ever lower. Descend to start and pack satisfied. (15:18). Fog, snow in Solčava. Nice loop path. Long cck. 10 km. Most off-trail. Rest marked with additions... lp (Milan, Stanko, Janez, Zlatko)

You roam our mountains very nicely, you don't lack ideas, for us the photos are there, which is something. Best regards to all.

Well, you've disturbed the chamois again right in their home lairs. Now they'll probably have peace till spring .

Yes, we missed you. Yesterday's ramble was again one of the fairy-tale ones. There was everything: scrambling on ridges, caving, fighting brushwood, steep meadows, natural windows, chamois, jackdaws, ravens, wonderful views, natural sights, culinary delights and more. For those who weren't there, a few of my pics. Best and safe steps to all from under beautiful Golt, Janez

Tuesday's "guys" gave me the idea for today's tour with their description and great pics. With a friend we started at Rogar, then to Lipše gates (Felsentore) to Obel kamen via hunter's path, along ridge to Govca and back past Potočka blowhole. Weather wonderfully sunny and warm, little snow on Austrian side, heavenly views (even KUM clear as day) hikers almost none - pity. Great day.

Hi, has anyone been to Olševa in recent days? Which path is least exposed to avalanches and other dangers in current conditions? Thinking mainly of the one from Spodnje Sleme... Thanks for replies!

In the mountains around Črna na Koroškem I think there are no problems anywhere so all paths are normally passable since nowhere more than 30 cm of snow has fallen.
