Today on Peca weather for 5+, autumn colors add their own...I arrived in Toplo when the last fog was clearing and it became a nice day.From Fajmut via climbing route to the top and down normal route past the hut back to Toplo.Trail-b.p.

Joža, regards. We used the last October Sunday for visiting Peca. Started the trail at Jakobe parking, then past the hut on secured path to Kordeževa glava, continued to Končnikov vrh and Bistriška špica, on return visited Velika glava too, then back to start on usual path. Weather nice, but with strong wind gusts that occasionally moved you on summits.

Today we headed to Peca.
We chose the starting point in Pristava then steeply past Bricnik to the top, we had some sunny and windy weather. On the return we had a hot meal at the hut and back to the valley, not much snow. Regards.

Yesterday on Peca. We started from the barracks past the hut and via ferrata to the top. We descended the normal route to the hut. For info, the hut is open every weekend all winter.

Looks pretty snowy, there's at least half a meter of snow for sure, but the bigger issue might be drifts since the north wind has been blowing all these days. Me too, planning to go up on Thursday.

Where's the best place to leave the car? We're planning to go to Peca on Friday and so far we've always been to Peca in the summer season, first time in winter version.. and we've always left the car at Jakobe parking lot.. any advice? Thanks in advance

You drive to Črna, from the roundabout over the bridge, then a good kilometer further, after the 2nd bridge signs direct you right, uphill to the end of the asphalt then left to the Matjaž inn, best to leave the car there - horse fences, from there straight to Peca - shortcut, short steep, 5 min walk and you're there. Probably Peca sign again there. Uf, wanted to be short.

To Jakob only by snowcat. To Mitnek or Tople ok by car. Tomorrow I'll try my luck on Peca. But don't expect to reach the summit given the weather of the last three days. Probably without snowshoes or touring skis it won't be possible higher than Mala Peca. In any case, the tour will be worth it, as I'm going by the most classic route from Mežica center. Exact information about conditions tomorrow.

Successful ascent to Carinthia's pride. Today real winter fairy tale on Peca, cloudless sky, sunny, warmer on top than in the valley, tons of snow, views to Sljeme, Trdinov vrh, Snežnik, Julian Alps, KSA, Karavanke, Austrian Alps, .... Road to Podpeča reportedly dry. To Karavla no problem. Winter starts at 1000 m. Last ascent to hut has many fallen trees, need to climb over some. Avalanche danger low now. Hut open only Sat-Sun, but nice sunbathing and snacking in front. Waist-deep snow around. Today 9 on summit. Path fairly trodden, no real skin track but doable. Sinking in places, frozen in others. Home to top 1:15-1:45 in these conditions. Little effort to summit. Recommend Peca tomorrow if time. Awesome views worth it. Zobkii luck tomorrow, waving from neighbor other side (Obir).

Yesterday really gorgeous weather, otherwise as Domch said, a bit trudging, a bit nice on hard snow... Road to Mitnek bp, from there I took 4h10 to top, well not fast in snow
