Jesusik, Jesusik - this juicy explanation was probably written with concrete help of homemade snake saliva.

Domch, just write something in dialect again sometime, it's interesting to read.
I miss those evenings in the old hut on Grohat...

Basically, as Guki says - poles, gaiters, and microspikes. On screes on northern sides and secured paths, and also mandatory winter gear.

Fikret thinks we only bash that one in Carinthian when we're boozed.

Along Jakobe's path... Who knows what conditions are like now? Do you need crampons, microspikes?

On Saturday I went to check from Topla gora to the saddle and up the secured path. From 1900m a.s.l. it was pretty solid winter. On the way to the saddle some newly fallen trees, but passable without much effort. Secured path mostly dry but slippery (wet). From the memorial plaque up southern slippery snow, needed extra caution entering the football pitch, put on gaiters then straight up. Sinks damn deep at times, quite tough June postholing so didn't go breaking trail on Austrian side.jezik Weather cloudy, partly foggy, quite a few visitors, summit bare of course, Austrian side still plenty of sinking wet snow.
Lower part of the secured gully, but wet.1
Upper part in wet snow.2
Suspicious rung.3
Gaiters slipping.4
Directly through the middle of the gully.5
Top of the gully, as usual.6
For crossing it will still be necessary to wait a little.7
in the valley however solid summer.8

I walked quite a bit on this road (not the whole), I think it'll be fine without issues

Yesterday traverse of Peca (Globasnica-Mežica) over all summits. Started the tour in Globasnica via path 640 up to Veška planina, where we met a chamois and then to Veška kopa, where three more chamois awaited us grazing. From there to Bistriška špica, on the way some snow patches for foot refreshmentjezik. Quite a few hikers who went up with the gondola. Continued to both Križnik peaks and to Končnikov vrh. Descent to Knipsovo sedlo and from there attempt strictly left to Velika glava. At one spot the path right at the edge, didn't risk it and went around to Velika glava from there to two peaks before Kordežova glava. On Kordeževa glava quite a lot of visitors and light breeze. Some snow patches in between. Down from Kordeževa glava path completely dry. At the end we went to Mala Peca and then past the hut down to Karavla and over Štenge down to Mežica. At the water fountain a friendly local invited us for a glass of excellent must and then descent to Mežica center. Nice tour in nice weather, just under 8 hours walking. Conditions totally different from last Saturday.

On Friday from Črna (Mušenik) to Peca. Path normally passable, of course talking about the storm damage that was in Koroška in the past.

For a change we wanted Peca/Bistriška Špica from Austrian side and drove to the end of Lepena/Leppen valley. Path from Luža alpine pasture closed in lower part due to storm damage, detour to Zg. Luža via forest road. From there passable again but slaloms around countless fallen trees. Plan was circular tour over saddle down to Kumr but didn't want to risk more surprises and returned same way. At Reipl inn friendly service in nice Slovenian.
