Last weekend (25-26.5.) we hiked from Kremžarjev dom to Ruška kuća. Path exceptionally nice despite bad weather and all precip - rain, hail, snow, ice. Very poorly organized for Grmovškov dom stamp, yet it's SPP stamp. Why not build it into the hut wall, we had issues as no hut open, those to Grmovškov needed 50min to descend with stamp. Praise to open huts esp Ribniška. Pohorje gorgeous, see you again.

No snow anymore, though last time when it cooled on top it snowed a bit, can be muddy. Wear good shoes.

14.06 morning after breakfast, which we had with Romana at Ožbalt bus station, we head across the Drava dam, then steeply above the railway to a flat road that takes us high under Rdeči breg. From here a bit more steep and we're at Glančnik hunting hut. Now we have another chance to catch our breath on the flat road that starts descending more and more. While walking we call Aleš to bring us some stuff. We reach the asphalt road via a bad cart track, not far to Orozela from here. Here with Romana we resupply from the car for continuing to Pohorje. After walking the asphalt part, we turn onto a side road that offers some shade too. We quickly reach Ribnica where I licked a hedgehog. In less than an hour we're at Pisnik, we hoped for a hot meal. Kitchen was out of stock, so we head to Ruška koča. The higher we were, the more annoying flies. Here we ate beans. Now we were practically on home turf, we signed at Črni vrh too then didn't stop until Planinec. Here we return via the lower path to the saddle. Since no problems on the whole route, Romana and I for relaxation organized a race on a small steep part on the way to Kremžerco. We stay at Kremžerco for one hour. Then down the very familiar path to Slovenj Gradec. There through Stari trg to Klanec (turn on lights) and continue on muddy path to Saluna, from there along the road to Poštarski dom, where my 67-hour walk ends. I walked KPP in one go. Romana accompanied me the last 90 km of the route.

On Wednesday morning my buddy and I did a hike from Maribor back to Carinthia. We started in the morning and climbed up via the giant slalom course to Pohorje and then continued on SPP - Mariborska koča, Ruška koča, then in the primeval forest Šumik view of both waterfalls - the path is fully secured with pegs, brackets and wire ropes. Then to Koča na Klopnem vrhu (closed) and then towards Pesek and Rogla. Here we got a bit lost as there are tons of marked paths, but nothing serious we quickly got back on SPP. From Pesek to Lovrenška lakes (view of them), then to Ribniško lake and Ribniški vrh (Jezerski vrh) to Ribniška koča, where they have good beans and food. There we overnighted. Morning then on to Črni vrh, Grmovškov dom, Velika Kopa, Mala Kopa, Partizanski dom and Kremžarjev vrh. From there to the hut and descent to Slovenj Gradec, there we get some supplies and then to Poštarski dom and from there via Kozarnica to Uršlja gora then descent home. Super tour, weather was good, view spoiled by thermals. Path is quite well marked with some exceptions. Tour doesn't have much elevation gain but has mileage so you need to walk steadily to do it in two days. Highly recommend the tour.

Tone regards. I found this path last week on your blog and decided to walk it. On picture no. 4 in the blog, on the map from Peker to the pond along which the path runs it's marked as impassable. I tried the path and easily reached the lake, so I'm telling you the path is not impassable and runs exactly as drawn on the map. And nice greetings and thanks for all the nice photos we can admire here and on your blog.

Hi @beholder maybe they cleared that section this year. When I tried last year couldn't get through. Shame that this interesting connection is not marked or at least signposted like they have it all nicely arranged elsewhere in Slovenia. Regards! Tone

Since the first half of the path is practically without marks it's quite demanding orientation-wise for someone who hasn't been to Pečkah yet. I myself turned uphill too early on advice of a guy by the road and ended the ascent somewhere at 850m (between viewpoint tower and Pečkah) and then descended next half hour to the hut at Pečkah. But on the way back I figured out exactly where the path runs, so next time it'll be easier. Nice greetings Samo

I'll fix it and next time I'll go check and walk this variant. Otherwise this route that I took isn't bad either, true it makes a bit bigger detour but you walk on the road all the time. From Meranov's it's marked with signposts and blazes anyway. Just yesterday exceptionally because of closed path-shooting exercise I pulled the spur a bit my own way.

Today (01.12.) ascent from Pivola past Veronika, Doma Planinke over Petkovo sedlo to Mariborska koča. Short refreshment and then descent on the path past Hočka koča, hill farms and St. Lenart church back to Pivola. Conditions OK, weather ideal, snow line at some thousand meters, you can find it also in dense forest belts.
