On Friday I'm going for three days to Hotel Planja. Since I haven't walked Pohorje yet, I'm interested how to best use it and visit as many huts as possible starting from the hotel, I'm doing the transversal actually. thanks for reply. regards

For the transversal you first need Koča na Pesku! That's from Rogla onwards. Very close.
Once there you have two very simple options! Either go right or left! If you go right you'll reach Koča na Klopnem vrhu, then Ruška koča pri Arehu and finally Mariborska koča. All these huts are needed for the transversal! This path is personally very tedious for me! I usually do it at night! If you go left though you first reach Ribniška koča, then Grmovškov dom pod Veliko Kopo and finally Koča pod Kremžarjevim vrhom. Nice path. Views all the way to the Julians and beyond! I recommend this path!

Yesterday 1.3. walked the path Slivnica-Mariborska koča. Path without features, just some minor obstacles on the path that are the result of the ice storm. Nice, need to repeat it once more in spring. Enthused by excellent path marking cared for by PD Fram, if only it were like that in many other places.

On Saturday some Snails went from Peska to Klopni vrh and hut under Klopni, then back the same way. Although only 200-300m higher than Mariborska koča and lookout tower, in forest still all under snow up to half meter in places. But since it was very south-facing, walking was quite strenuous. Only on sunny clearings almost all gone. Road to Peska and hut at Klopni drivable normally. Oh and also, caretakers at Klopni vrh very ok, praiseworthy.

On Labor Day I decided to go on a bit longer hike in Pohorje. Starting point of May 1st hike was Slovenj Gradec, path then led past Legen and Gradišče, all to Kremžarjev vrh where I had a short stop. Then continued to Planinc hut (1010 m), another stop, then towards Sv. Primož on Pohorje and to Vuzenica where around 5 pm I ended May 1st trip in western Pohorje. But hike didn't end at five, but a good 4 hours later, as turned out missed bus by 7 min, next one left at 21:22. Anyway such hikes with taste of adventure stay long in memory. 
Weather served me quite well, only bit before Planinc hut heavy rain mixed with hail.

Today to Pohorje a bit different. Left the car in Maribor center, Vošnjakova street opposite the police, and set off by bus from in front of the City mall under Pohorje. Rode to Tuš where I got off. Continued on the road to Spodnje Radvanje where the Slovenian Mountain Trail - Transversal - Maribor - Triglav - Ankaran starts. Path no problem, just sometimes a detour due to fallen trees. From the upper cable car station continued to Mariborska koča. Weather so-so, more sad. Squeezed a radler and headed towards the lookout tower Ciglenica - 1147m. Some views and descent past the cable car to the lower station. Many paragliders too. People, I mean hikers, few; many sat in taverns, those full. Just the right moment for return, stepped right on the bus, no waiting. Got off where I entered in the morning and back at the car at 13.30. Then home where mom waited with lunch, then nice two-hour nap, always good after hike

This morning a quick jump to Pohorje to maintain fitness and with a bit of curiosity if there's anything new. Weather moody, not really suitable for far away but for nearby hills perfectly OK. Gloomy and cloudy, upon return even a light shower; twice it really poured. People still quite a few despite rather bad weather.

We could have met!
Wife and I were at the tower there around 9.30 and it was already clearing nicely. Pity we didn't go somewhere further from Pohorje.
We then descended down towards Pekre and diagonally to lower station.
