Yeah Janez, I just can't believe you were on my "darling". I've been up there several times in winter, more in the second half of winter when crust forms and you don't sink to your neck when you fall between the pines. Probably I've seen your ski tracks sometime, since everything is crisscrossed with ski tracks. Good luck and best from the center of green gold. The east picture I suggest for picture of the week. Thanks, thanks, thanks. We really were the only ones yesterday on Raduha enjoying its winter charms. Live it was much more beautiful. I just hope this thaw won't be too harsh and soon there'll be chance for another such tour.

Before Luče in the Struge area turn right where the sign for Loka and snow cave is, and drive about 3 km to new asphalt where you go left, there's also a sign for Radušnik. L.p.

It bothered me because we also turned for Loka in Struge and usually left the car a few km ahead when there was a mark from the road left into the forest. When we crossed that forest we came to the marked path Radušnik-Loka.
Past the Radušnik farm we didn't go.
I'll look more carefully now.

Again an interesting day, this time it started already on the way to Raduha when I missed the turn for Radušnik (I was sure it was higher?!) and drove on the "summer" road, which from the end of the asphalt gets worse and worse, icy, and suddenly it wouldn't go anymore  . I still don't know how I turned the car (woman at the wheel, huh, hehe) and left it at the end of the asphalt. The path to the top was good today, no gear needed. At the hut on Loka a Siberian wind was blowing, I wanted to turn back, but I gritted my teeth a bit more and it was worth it. Went up the normal-regular path, on the top wind was blowing but bearable. The hut on Loka was open on the way back, got deserved blueberries  , the hut will be open for everyone wandering around there at the end of the month from 27.12.2010 to 02.01.2012 and besides blueberries there will also be something spoonable . Despite the cold, a nice day.

Congrats! I would say it's warmer in the freezer than it was today on Raduha. Wind puts the icing on the cake. Healthy spirit in a healthy body, as we say.

Hello!
On the 5th picture is the summit of Raduha with a bare meadow right below it...
In winter, when there's not much snow it's always muddy and water flows through it as if there's a spring somewhere here... Maybe someone knows why there's snow all around, only here it's bare?
I also think the meadow isn't that exposed for the snow to be blown away...
