Probably our last trip of this year to the high mountains. It was a nice sunny Tuesday, the path as befits, via the demanding mountain and on the nicely newly renovated path over Durce back. Unforgettable was the admiration of the sun-illuminated beauties of the autumn forest.

Early morning, Loka Raduha, Grohot, Bukovnik Lower ridge. Sun was shining in full glory, if it were summer time we would sweat a lot. Path slightly frozen, therefore dry, nice for walking; after a good hour both at the top. Immediately return part of the path, pick up the left backpacks and head towards Durc. We have crampons with us too, but they are not needed. At Grohot no mentionable snow. Carefree descent to Bukovnik, where we have ordered breakfast.

Anyone have current info on drivability of road to Bukovnik? Thanks!

Road was drivable on Saturday to the saddle below Bukovnik with chains, further very icy. Conditions over Durce were good, not too much snow. I think no need to emphasize that conditions have completely changed since Saturday (daytime thaws).

Conditions change from minute to minute. Pack all necessary winter gear in your backpack and go. On the trail itself you'll see on the spot if you need any winter gear you have in the backpack Best, Jure

Jure S, thanks! Advice that outweighs everything. Otherwise it was absolutely fantastic. A God-given day.

Today on Raduha there was very strong wind, it slightly covered the beaten track with drifted snow in places and made one big drift before the summit, which colleague first broke and now it's passable. Towards the summit quite icy, so I put on crampons before the summit. Route: Luče-Loka-summit and same back.

Biv gr 12.1.2013. At Spodnji Slemen cold and foggy with sleet. From Grohata onwards clear and nice views. Path over Durce frozen and partly icy. Use of microspikes and ice axe necessary. From Durce onwards surprisingly much snow. Now not recommended because of avalanches. Then we also went to Olševa but the day was too short only to Gladki vrh.

Luče-Loka and back. Went on the usual hiking trail from Luče to the hut on Loka. In the forest there's quite a lot of snow so I nicely cut a ski track with skis. On Loka the slopes are quite windblown, big drifts formed. Descent back was really pleasant due to lots of snow. A bit above Luče the hiking trail crosses the road and from there I descended along the road edge to Luče and it went nicely without skis scraping underneath.

Was on Raduha yesterday. From Loka direction already nicely beaten track, quite a few of us up there. Just below summit frozen, so some caution needed, otherwise super

Today Raduha offered a lot. Road to Radušnik icy but gritted. Track made to summit. Caution needed on final ascent or descent - partly icy. Best

Did anyone go to Raduha on the path from end of asphalt road over Cirkovca to Loka? Wondering if the path is beaten.

As far as I saw, only the path leading past Radušnik towards the hut on Loka is trodden. From Tevec I didn't see tracks, from Luč direction there are some tracks which join those from Radušnik below the hut. Lp
