Apparently on the road to Raduha there are lots of fallen trees, at least last weekend it was like that. I'm also interested in today's situation. Thanks for the info!

Just today they were removing fallen trees and also snow on two sections, so the road is drivable. The hut at Loki was open.

Just one question! Plan is visit to Raduha. Where better to sleep? At Grohot or at Arti? Asking where smaller crowd because the path is meant for two-day thing and of course to plan the start... We'll go via Tolstovršnik then to the summit. From summit depending on answer...

@Marx, probably you meant Arto, Koča na Loki, which is well visited in nice weather, which also applies to Koča na Grohotu under Raduha. At the start of the season, no full occupancy is expected for both huts, which are currently open only on nice weekends. Your tour can be done in one day, just start at the first cock crow , or a bit later . Raduha is not a particularly demanding mountain, but being on it is a real mountain experience. Good luck!

Also demanding routes can be found namely on the Carinthian side - climbing secured path, hunter's path and of course whole bunch of climbing routes for climbers.

How about snow on the secured climbing one? I assume there might still be some.

Today on Raduha despite not the best forecast. It was windy and cold, but at times could see even to Triglav. Hut at Loki closed, but we two were the only hikers from Raduha to Lanež.

That such an alpinist and great hiker (Igor Zlodej) was on one of the Raduhas, there must have been a good reason

Today (25.05) attempt to ascend Raduha. Yesterday I reached Grohot where I slept, but this morning more new centimeters of snow fell and the path over Durce is impassable... at least for me. I came via the path past Tolstovršnik, Javor and under the cliffs of Raduha. From Javor along the sub-cliffs it's only by orientation because no marks... Snow line at about 1300 m a.s.l., at Bukovnik no more. Descended past Bukovnik and some farms to Solčava.

Hello! Today I was for the first time on Raduha, went up past Bukovnik farm to hut at Grohot below Raduha then over Durce and it was wonderful. Conditions excellent, all dry except at three spots a few steps over snow where it's just melting, rest dry no problem. I have quite some fear of heights but this wasn't scary and I really enjoyed with my girlfriend on this beautiful mountain. For the braver ones there is a climbing secured path to the right of Durce. Lp and safe steps!

Next time via the climbing path. That's nothing scary either, just a bit steeper and a few pegs for better feel. We started like that years ago too.

Sunday ramble on Raduha, across its peaks satisfied my flower wishes, but not fully as narcissi escaped me ... still really nice on Konjska Loka, Jelovec, Lanež and finally Velika Raduha. Weather seems really special this year. Who wants to enjoy beautiful marmots must head right from hut to grassy pastures. LP!

Today I climbed Raduha with my father and sister. The starting point of today's hike was at the Bukovnik farm - the highest-lying Slovenian farm (1327 m). The weather served us excellently, the sun in the mountains is quite strong, so caution is not superfluous. Caution is also not superfluous on the descent, especially where the snow is melting and consequently the path is somewhat muddy and slippery. Carefully!!!
