Sorry Katty, if anything interested you, you could just have asked. I think you were in the group of four, because below the hut we also saw one couple. We walked almost ten hours yesterday, unlike you, we were hurrying all the time. "Deep" below us we heard merry laughter before we met. We didn't use snowshoes for Raduha, only 6-tooth crampons. Bačo, we got plenty more sun after Smrekovško pogorje, we sweated quite a bit too. We saw Raduha later in the sun, but our goal yesterday wasn't sun. We were interested in conditions over Raduha and Smrekovec and where needed we snowshoed the trail. Lp.

Great job you two did, we hesitated about snowshoes and they stayed in the car.. uphill still ok... downhill already sinking quite a bit because it warmed up

Today's Raduha - Bukovnik - Durce - Raduha and back the same way.
The trail is very good in shade (steps), but on ridge sinks in some places, tracks good!

Bačo, when going to the mountains take with you as many things as possible that could be useful on the desired path (excess doesn't hurt the head). Then, before each obstacle, calmly take from the backpack and use. Even worse is asking others about conditions and sending them to gather chestnuts from the embers; meanwhile, the asker idles a bit. In the building under the hut the winter room is unlocked, inside there's a group mattress and also some blankets. Checked on Friday. Regards.

LOKA,RADUHA,BUKOVNIK,SLEME as part of the five Carinthian peaks.
The path from Loka is already better trodden than a few days ago. The descent via Grohot is also not problematic, but there are some firmer spots from wind-blown snow.

Does anyone have info on what the conditions on Raduha are now? Planning to go up for the weekend, from the Loka direction. Where is best to park?

Yesterday around 40 visitors at the summit, above Loka the pršič that melted to the ground. Winter gear, snowshoes or crampons, would just be in the way. Too bad at the top no views due to fog.

Regarding Vodol, I couldn't tell, because last weekend we went from below Radušnik where the road was completely dry. From Loka up there was still lots of snow, higher up in the morning we sank quite a bit in loose snow as we were among the first. But quite a few visitors after us made a good track, now probably no issues.

No... I was there on March 8 and left the car where the asphalt ends... can't go further even with 4x4... so on foot nicely to Loka and to the top no big deal
