If anyone went to Raduha from Radušnik these days, I'd ask for info if crampons were needed? zmeden

Started at 7 from Radušnik and back at 12.30. Met no one. On the Raduha summit it was blowing like hell, so quickly down to the valley. Crampons stayed in backpack, though they'd have been handy on feet too. In the upper part some new snow, so the trodden track was covered. Sun just a bit. Still nice zavijanje z očmi

Still quite a lot of snow, at parking (reachable by car in summer) around half meter. Snow starts soon above Roušnik. Some pics from Tuesday's trip to Raduha at: https://picasaweb.google.com/112243693317192357703/RADUHA2062Mnm03

On Saturday the traditional Winter hike to Raduha. Excellent conditions, pics tell more.

We two were on Raduha yesterday. We drove towards Koča na Loki, but when we reached the gravel section we continued another 2 km on the road, then too much snow on the road and no other car tracks, so we turned around, left the car a bit lower at the sign saying 1.5 hrs to Loki and went on foot on the path. Still some snow on Raduha but excellent trip.☺

Was up on Saturday. Cables dry. A couple of snow patches to cross. Snow packed, wet. Can make safe steps. When crossing snow patches used ice axe.

Start at Bukovnik, Grohart, up the cables
and back via Durce...

Yesterday - parked at Bkovnik. Path to Grohot muddy and slippery. Raduha summit in fog - at junction right to secured. Path without problems. Old snow almost gone. Newly fallen started somewhere above chimney - towards summit up to 10 cm - wet as it is, it will melt fast. Winter gear stayed in backpack. Path to Durcam and Lanež mud and snow.
Also quick to Lanež - also Hojnikova dry - recommend helmet.

Was there on Friday 29 May. Started in Luče over pl. Arte to summit, returned past Loka, which was closed. Path without peculiarities. Lp.

I was there Saturday morning. Past hut (open, owners cleaning), to Durce, right to Lanež then to summit. When I reached summit, saw shower coming from behind Karavanke. Luckily got to car dry. Also met sheep below summit.

From Thu 28.5. only one unproblematic snow patch in memory (before steel cables). Winter gear not needed. Rest path BP. (Hut at Grohat still closed.) Completely snow-free also neighbor Olševa from Obel kamen to Govca. Ojstrica and mtns west still white days ago. P.S. Road ok too, only at Bukovnik two loose dogs bothered a bit (but calmed when moved from farm). Good luck!

navdušena, this week NATO military exercises on Raduha so probably not pleasant. eek
