Hi,
I was on Raduha on Thursday. Path is ok, well trodden, lots of visitors. Might be a bit frozen, otherwise no problem.

I was today from Radušnik up.mežikanje
Some even drove to the parking under Loka...no problems.
Except momentary strong wind chasing snow, conditions super today. nasmeh Tracks made, no gaiters needed.

"Janez Seliškar", "Mancula's" question is in place, "garmont" didn't start at Bukovnik, so interesting to hear if anyone went from Carinthian end to summit.

Bukovnik is on the other side of Raduha, garmont gave data from friendlier side.

First time on Raduha in winter yesterday, and even in dry conditions from my side previously visited only once before. And that almost 20 years ago. No wonder it was chosen for the New Year's tournasmeh.
Plus it's a two-thousander, guaranteed nice weather, we hoped for views from the previous tour from another side, namely Hochobirnasmeh. Well, much more was visible than just thatnasmeh.

On the summit at least microspikes are recommended, the ground was at least hard and icy yesterday, I saw quite a few also with real crampons. And really deep views into the valley at the edge are not recommended either, as the opasti quite substantially extended the tailseek.

On Tuesday quite a few drove to the parking lot below the hut. If you don't have the best tires though, park a bit earlier by the road. Just judgenasmeh.

On the path to Velika Raduha just before the summit we found small crampons (1 pc.). If you lost them call 041 334 340.

On Friday 3.1.2020 on Raduha. From Bukovnik over Durce to Mala and Velika Raduha, down via Lanež to Jelovec and Planina Javorje and Planina Vodole then descent to Bistro and up Bistri valley back to Bukovnik. Long and nice circular tour. Winter gear over Durce mandatory, crossing icy and dangerous for slipping. Rest of the path nicely snowy and well trodden.

From Loka, can't be anything special if crampons are worn. Best, J.

We too were curious about the actual conditions on Raduha. So we decided to go check it out. Started at Bukovnik-Bukovec along the road to the hut which is open till Sunday. Path to Grohot well trodden. At the fork, new path and old path, we put on crampons and took the old one. When we got out of Grohot, sun shone on us and warmed us to the top. South side path well packed, easy walk with crampons. On descent chose the new path and dug it out well with crampons; took our time and really walked it through, at spots even briefly backtracked and redid the digging. Hope it won't get covered too soon.
Overall little snow, in the upper part hard in places, even a meter of ice can be found1

Nice, commendable.
But I'm curious, which newly made path are you talking about. From about eight years ago? The summer before last, when I was on this path, no sign of a maintained path, rotten trunks, wobbly steps ...
Maybe one is newly routed?
I also know the old path variant.
Regards!
