Today we took our five-year-old on his first 2000er.
Entire path to summit via Pl. Loka is normally passable. I think path for kids is quite demanding, not so much due to elevation, but due to path composition, mix of forest path and big rocks jezik

.
At summit quite fresh due to clouds, otherwise nice summer day with lots of visitors.

They were grazing on the slopes of Mala Raduha.

If Bos's youngest made it to Raduha, we had to succeed too. Interesting weekend in hut at Loki. Saturday gathering, from hut towards Durce, descent to north side towards Grohat. Then ascent along cables to top of Raduha. Nice to conquer two-thousander in good company. Views towards Olševa and Peč and Solčava. Towards Grohat larches, how they glow in autumn. This time not to Snežna jama, but straight to hut at Loki, as lunch and work awaited. Action, instructors did their best, we too, theory and practice. Cook prepared goodies, youth handled serving. Even with tractors they made it, right to hut. Someone excellently cares for flowers at hut, real decoration.

We chose Peč for our first two-thousander. Five-year-old daughter conquered summit without problem. Recommend, and we also saw King Matjaž's cave

What conditions did you have? Any snow left on path? From Austrian or Slovenian side?

Today's ascent to Raduha wasn't even that wet, given nighttime rain. nasmeh

Up old path via Durce, descent via secured. Under Durce strong wind blowing, later subsided. mežikanje

At summit no one except us, of course. Given crowds in hills recently, welcome change. mežikanje

Markacisti have repaired the footbridge and higher up towards Durc the path is much improved. Nice.

...a mother with two cubs was squeezing through.

Climbing to the saddle requires some use of hands.

Yesterday, 8.8.2020, with dog via secured path to Raduha, descent via Durce, in between jump to Mala Raduha and Lanež. All paths OK, on hot day like yesterday, northern approach to Raduha real pleasure, as we were over half tour in pleasant shade nasmeh

Yesterday, in rainy, foggy weather, from Bukovnik to Loka. Surface slippery, hard for walking. Hut at Loki, spotted it in fog at 20 m. A stranger to the area might miss it. Followed by refreshment, then continued via Smrekovec.

In the hut we rested briefly, the surroundings were getting darker.

On Thursday to the summit via Planina Arta, descent towards the hut at Loki and back to the starting point. nasmeh

Today it's raining and maybe some snow will fall on Raduha too, while two days ago everything was as it should be in beautiful autumn. We made a circular route starting below Planina Loka, climbed the slope of Mala Raduha and continued traversing to Velika Raduha. Nice day attracted quite a few hikers. Views on KSA, Solčava, Savinja valley

Raduha 13.1.2021:
Started at Miklavc as couldn't drive car on snowy road to Radušnik.
Weather for hiking ideal, temperature well below zero and good track. Higher better views and memories pampered me.
Between Mala and Velika Raduha gale surprised me a bit. There met hiking mates I'd gladly stopped with shortly but wind made impossible. Edi, watched you skillfully go over Mala Raduha. Heartfelt greetings to all.
Summit almost no wind, pleasant to enjoy winter and great views to near and far peaks. Saw really far. Ravens reminded me of snack, shared it with them.
As always hard to leave dear summit. Memories of ski ascents and wonderful zigzags in deep powder among snowy spruce peaks enveloped me with happiness. Raduha has already given me much beauty.
