Just checked. There's one small snow patch which poses no problems. Ice axe for the path to Kriška stena not needed. nasmeh

Hello.
From Tolmin to Ukanc or Ribčev laz. Does anyone know time-wise how long it takes and what the path is like.
Thanks.

One full day, approx 10 hours on a normally passable path.

I don't know what path you're looking for but here you have a thousand variants how to get to Bohinj. For starters you can look at some map. The fastest variant is:
Tolminske Ravne- Hut on Planina Razor-across Globoka-Planina na Kalu- and then along Žagarjev graben to Ukanc

approx 12 km, 5-6 hours walking (straight from Tolmin add another 2 hours or so)

I've looked at maps.nasmeh But if someone's been on that path it's easier to understand.
I need to get in one day from Tolmin center to Bohinjska Bistrica. And I've never been here before.
Difficulty interests me too.
And thanks once more.nasmeh

Sorry but I don't know what else there is to understand. As already written all paths are completely normally passable and undemanding.
The rest is up to you...you can go to Črne prsti and there to Bistrica...or go to Ukanc and then bus/hitch to Bistrica. There really are many variants and all you need is a steady step. mežikanje

From Tolmin go to the village Žabče, go across planina Lom, across Žabijski kuk to Vogel. Cross the ridge to Črna prst and descend to the valley for Boh. Bistrica. The path is marked all the way and in my view easily passable. All pics, path descriptions and times you can find on this portal

You could do it like this:

From Tolmin on foot to Podbrdo:

From there to Bohinjska Bistrica by (car)train:
https://www.slo-zeleznice.si/sl/potniki/vozni-redi/avtovlak

Maybe you'll be the first to head from Tolmin to Bohinjska Bistrica (almost all on foot) like this velik nasmeh

On Thursday, 19.9., from Vršič to Razor and Planja and back. Start around 6 a.m., back around 3:30 p.m. Nice path, markings visible (some quite faded, but no panic), fixed gear where present, fine. In the morning darkness, you just need to pay attention at the Razor - Mlinarica, South path sign (at the fork to Grebenska to Prisojnik) to turn downhill and keep calm, as you lose as much altitude as you gained before. Otherwise a world of wilderness, at least this time of year without any crowds. The whole day we met 10 people and quite a few more chamois... Fantastic views from the top. Mists covering and uncovering like watching a movie. Triglav appearing and hiding like a sphinx. On Razor we were alone for a long time, then a female hiker from Kriški podi direction joined us (thanks for the photo), on Planja totally alone. After the whole day, goulash at Erjavčeva was fantastic, beer too...

Hi! Does anyone know more about the path to Razor from Mlinarica? What is it like, is it marked because at Planja saddle there's only a sign for Mlinarica and that's it. Is it pathless and does anyone have some pics to see if it's climbable..thanks

If you don't know if this path is marked, don't venture onto it in winter conditions. For summer conditions (after July), yes - it's marked, in shade and snow holds in it far into July. Adequately secured, but not a climbing via ferrata.

If you asked this in summer time I would understand, now it's a bit strange that you don't know where the markings are

I was asking for summervelik nasmeh I don't plan to go up in winter conditions because I've already planned routes a bit and was searching on hribi.net razor from mlinarica but nowhere written, as I remember only at planja saddle one sign mlinarica and I'm curious what it is and some people came from that wall, said it's quite a wall, the path is steep :-) got interested and nowhere on internet find that path that's why asking you, so, can one go from Mlinarica to razor? Thanks

Saturday view from Planja. You can probably avoid that snowfield. To Planja also a snowfield that can be avoided.
