You can go over Kajzljeva škrbina, except via Slovenska. Do the descent via Slovenska.

@sla has nicely described it in the second paragraph. If you want some off-trail, here's part of the path.

Hello,
on Saturday I went to Razor. Start was in Vrata valley... past Pogačnikov dom to Kriški podi, to the summit. This was also the last stamp on SPP. I completed the transfer in five years. I'm happy that I made it nasmehnasmeh. Otherwise, the path from Vrata to Razor is nicely trodden, no special features... wall below summit not as hard as expected, but still worthy of respect jezik. Service at Pogačnikov dom excellent... bravo young team, keep it up nasmehvelik nasmeh.
Safe steps to all ahead.

I started at the road hut above Trento. Over Mlinarica I went in the streambed. I walked a long time until the marked path. Path to Razor partly poorly marked, partly cable damaged. Met about 5. On Razor two from Briš came after me. Soon they left and I stayed on the summit for quite some time in such nice weather and views. Around half past three was the time but for me such times are right. It was quiet. Carefully descended and met another female hiker below Razor, we exchanged a few words, then each our own way. Descended back the arrival direction, in Mlinarica area turned right to hunters' path above streambed. There had to crawl 5 times over fallen trees. This hunters' path reaches almost to the road hut. And back via Bovec-Tolmin, where road much nicer than to Kranjska Gora-Jesenice-Kranj.

Already a bit late, after searching for parking for the car from Vršič with companion headed to Razor. Till the junction for Jubilejna path to Prisojnik met or overtook only a couple of hikers. Higher, a bit below the saddle, another one returning. On the summit quite a few. Returned same path to Vršič and met a couple more mountaineers. Path from this side without peculiarities. At Vršič reached quite lonely car. Of crowds like in the morning no trace.
Conclusion with one cold beer then gas to Ljubljana. Also on the road without too much traffic.

Yesterday via Mlinarica valley to Razor and back. It's been a long time since I was in these parts, I remembered a nice hunter's path that leads high to the grassy ledges below the Prisojnik - Razor cross path. But yesterday it wasn't quite like that. In the lower, forested part there is quite some fallen trees, a bit further a part of the slope above Mlinarica gully broke off and took dozens of meters of path with it. Climbing over fallen trees is tedious for me, luckily through the meadows in the upper part of the valley it went much faster.

No other peculiarities on the path, just here and there on the maintained section especially on rocky passages I somewhat missed the markings. Those that are there have faded quite a bit, so sometimes you need to look around to find the most comfortable passage. Which actually isn't so badnasmeh.

Soon above Planja saddle the forecasted cloudiness caught me, so no views from the summit. To the right of the path newly built a few years ago there is another huge landslide. The summit climbing section reminded me somehow of the upper (overhanging) half of Pogacnik's path over Smarna Gora Turnec, only the steps on Razor are noticeably more spaced. On return I checked the cave a bit below the summit, bottom still has some ice from last winter. I planned to climb Planja too, but skipped it due to weather after thinking. At around 2200m light rain caught me, just enough for the chains to become annoyingly slippery. Luckily didn't need them much.

On the slopes below summit a chamois with kid kindly let me photograph her, lower down above Mlinarica basin a whole herd, with mighty male in front.

In Mlinarica valley fogs hid almost all surrounding peaks, but still looked wild and beautiful. If on ascent I still had will to climb over broken trees on path, on descent in area between first and second gully (counted from below) I rather bypassed via Mlinarica streambed, where it was slow. Finally descended to upper part of Mlinarica potholes, path to them branches off about 100m from abandoned forestry hut. No regrets!

Despite some rain the day in these remote corners around Mlinarica was unforgettable. And Razor is really a mighty mountain!

Actually, in the end all are difficult, as they all have the final slightly overhanging but short ascent via pegs to the summit. To the Kriški Podi probably the easiest is the one via mulatjera from Zadnjica mežikanje

All paths are dry. The last ascent can also be bypassed via the "old" variant, which is now partially demanding pathless terrain mežikanje

Razor. Beautiful mountain. Interesting view from the top in all directions. I used the last days of the so-called Indian summer and headed off - as they say down south - "lightly sporty" - afternoon slowly from Vrata towards Kriški Podi.

Someone wrote a while ago that Sovatna is in shade in the afternoon. Let's say it is, but only after 4-5 pm ... which means the sun was (un)pleasantly warming until then. At Dovška Vratca the horned locals welcomed me ... eek

I slept in Pogačnik Hut, which was half occupied during the week unlike weekends when it's bursting at the seams. Apparently a former caretaker once wrote that the hut has the best toilets in the whole TNP; of course, when they have proper water supply - in the upper Kriško Lake, from where they pump water.

A few words about the path to the summit: the last part was quite nasty - steep slope, all scattered with material of all sizes on the ledges. That "notorious" vertical secured section below the summit was the easiest and safest part for me. Comparable to Pogačnik path to Šmarnogorska Grmada. Helmet use more than recommended nasmeh.

Yesterday's visit on full moon on the first autumn day. In Vrata traffic calmed down and we start in a cloudy night on wet terrain. A bit above the overhang towards the bivouac fog catches us and persists on Sovatna up to about 1900m. Already saying goodbye to the summit in thoughts. A bit before the cables it clears and the view of Triglav makes us happy. In the hut at Kriški Podi we refresh a bit and slowly step forward; we had plenty of time so we wouldn't freeze on the summit waiting for sunrise. It was around 0, upper part frozen, feeling of cold quite strong. Recently renovated or added protections now greatly ease the ascent via ferrata. On the summit just a few photos, we descend a bit lower and wait for sunrise, which unfortunately was not very visible... After less than an hour we descend to the hut for a hot drink and back along the approach to the starting point.
The hut on Kriški podi is already nicely visible from afar.1

Girls, congrats on the ascent. But something interests me - end of the week I'm heading to Razor. On PZS to Pogačnik hut from Vrata 4h, from Zadnjica also 4h. On Hribi from Vrata 4.5h, from Zadnjica 4h. Which data is more realistic? Thanks and LP.
