I don't know if it's in a guidebook. I did it like this: Okrešelj - direction Savinjsko sedlo - in Mrzli dol turn left to the secured alpine path to Križ (Koroška rinka) - from the top descend to the other side towards Turska gora and below the summit turn right towards Kranjska rinka - traverse the slope of Koroška rinka and up the path to the top of Kranjska - then back the same path, descend to the saddle between Križ and Štajerska rinka and up to the top of Štajerska - then down to Mala rinka and continue to Turski žleb - through Turski žleb descent direction Okrešelj. Regards

Yesterday start at 6 a.m. at the parking lot on Jezersko at a modest 6 degrees Celsius. First through Žrelo to Ledin, then to Koroška and Kranjska Rinka, on the way back also to Ledinski vrh and Storžek. To Storžek I went along the ridge from the Slovenian side (super, recommend to experienced!), back via the secured path to the Austrian side. Then to Ledin, descent via Slovenska, further on easier path to Češka koča and then to cargo cableway and parking. Nice tour, given the weather conditions already a bit with an autumnal touch.nasmeh

P.S.: Normally I drove to Jezersko from the direction of Kranj and back.

Urbanček, you caught a really beautiful day - nice pics! If you went via the Slovenian climbing secured path from Ledin, you went to Češka via Umik Žrela - climbing secured. I use it regularly if going only to Češka koča, back via the normal one to the cargo over Mrzva dolina, Hudičevi kvanci and over Štapc, that's it, right!

I'm thinking about a trip on Thursday (if the weather is good) from Ravenska Kočna to Koča na Ledinah and then on to Koroška Rinka. Back the same way then past Češka koča back to the start. Since I don't know this area, I have several questions:
The description says that to the start before the cableway there is some gravel road, approx. how many km? Or if someone knows, total drive from Lj to the start?
I'm also interested in the path difficulty. I did Kopiščarjeva on Prisank and via Italina on Mangart, possible comparison?
I'm thinking if Thursday possible rain, do only loop from Ravenska Kočna to Koča na Ledinah then to Češka koča back to start. About this path, what's the climbing part through žrelo like - self-belay kit needed? And if OK this direction or better reverse?
Thanks for answers.

On Saturday I was at Ravenska Kočna, gravel little - a few km (nice road)
from Kranj east exit to parking approx. half hour...
path similar in difficulty to via italiana just a bit longer
on Saturday I was at Jezerska Kočna and quite a few hikers turned back due to crossing dangerous snowfield and if this week more snow falls north side dangerous...
weather not promising (rain to Monday)
that part through žrelo don't know because was at Rinkas from Okrešelj...

We from Ljubljana to the parking take between one hour and one hour ten minutes. From parking to cableway another 10 min walking.

Path from Ledin to Rink shorter than Kopiščarjeva, much less protection, but very crumbly. Especially downhill need to walk very carefully. On path from Ledin to Češka koča self-belay kit not needed. In my opinion. Žrelo very short, pegs more helpful than cables, not hard. Further path dangerous at few spots due to slip possibility. If decide for this variant and at Češka koča still have strength, go also to Vratc.

Yesterday we used a wonderful day for wandering around the Rinkas. We walked the path over Žmavčarje mostly in the dark, so the morning sun already greeted us at the bivouac under Skuta. Despite Skuta temptingly calling to its peak, we stuck to the original plan and first reached the summit of Kranjska Rinka, then Koroška Rinka (Križ), descent to Štajerska Rinka and past Mala Rinka back toward the bivouac. We had planned descent to Kokrško sedlo but due to fog skipped it and descended past bivouac back to the valley. The path over Žmavčarje is quite damp and slippery, otherwise no issues on the rest. Wonderful sunny warm day, great tour spiced by cold wind on summitsnasmeh.

The nice weather forecast lured me and my buddy to these parts of our peaks. We started at 7.00 from Konc over Žmaučarjev to Rinke. Until 12 o'clock the weather was OK then fog blew from valleys and hid views of the surroundings so we rolled over the ridge and Coiza (mandatory beer) to the valley. We took 12 hours.
Some of you just whizzed past us....1

Rinke-from Konc/Kam.Bistrica-via Žmavčarje and back, conditions 25.11.2012
To Bivouac under Skuta path without issues, past Male Pode snow patches start, to Štajersko Rinko without crampons, to Koroško - soft snow and to Kranjsko Rinko - hard snow, full gear mandatory.
Conditions from neighboring mountains visible in attached pics.
Return path: careful - very tricky wet roots under lots of leaves in lower Žmavčarjev.
At the bivouac under Skuto, ... no snow on the path up to here1

Today on Rinke via Turski žleb. Weather super, on Rinke pleasant breeze, lower quite hot, especially on the return. Surrounding peaks deserted, we felt quite lonely.
Had full winter gear but didn't use crampons.
For morning mists and dawn, one needs to arrive early in Logarsko.1
Turski žleb is still well covered with snow.2
The cables at certain points are still under snow.3
We chose this little tunnel for the crossing.4
View at halfway point; the upper part is steep when you exit the rocks onto the scree. Just before exiting TŽ there is still about 5 m of snow.5
Our goal: Rinke.6
Koroška-2433m, Štajerska-2374m and Mala Rinka-2289m.7
On Štajerska Rinka there is a new stamp, unfortunately the print is illegible and the height is incorrect at 2289m, which is Mala's height.8
