How many times have you been up there already? I hope to get to these peaks at least once, haven't been to any yet but I'm trying, there are many hills and I'm alone for all and almost all ascents I do alone.

@velkavrh: The others also observe things along the trail, take photos and watch out for our own safety and that of others... In case you happened to think that we don't...nasmeh

It's clearing in the NW, so it will..
Yes, you can mock my times too. But the pleasures when standing by the trail admiring the beauties outweigh.. on top some kind of energy that just won't let you go down..
Good luck runners, wisely.
Special moments that I would have waited for too if I knew1

Okrešelj - over the Kriško Wall to Rinke - Turska gora - Brana - Kamniško sedlo - Okrešelj.
Below the Kriško Wall you can miss the entry path to the wall a bit. At least I did, since I'm not always paying attention to the markers. So I had to scramble over slippery scree to the right track into the wall. An ibex came quite close to watch me and we chatted nicely but I had to go on and left it. Everything's OK and nice in the wall, on the Rinkes too, on Turska gora I was alone with coffee, on Brana some people. The day was windy but still nice. From Okrešelj I descended to the valley via the shepherd's path for a change.

Isn't it called that? Anyway, before Savinjsko sedlo left into the wall and to Križ.

No Bbrina: it's not called over the Kriško Wall, that's in the Julian Alps.....from Okrešelj over Mrzli dol to Križ, then down to Male pode and to Turska gora.......if from Savinjsko sedlo then directly to Križ....no Kriška Wall.......... nasmeh

Hm, yes of course. In our spoken language we've long used this term for the path over Mrzli dol to Križ. And I know the Kriško Wall in the Julian Alps too.
Thanks anyway.

Some of us gathered and went via Rinke. First from Okrešelj towards Savinjsko sedlo on nicely built and well secured path to Križ, then to Kranjska and finally to Štajerska Rinka. Returned via Turski žleb to Okrešelj. Very nice tournasmeh

Today I finally managed to summit Kranjska Rinka, which I put off in early summer due to snowfield. Forecasters were quite off in prediction, sunny forecast... on top fog, even sleet occasionally quite heavy. Tour successful; also other side of mountains needs knowing, not just clear, sunny, warm... Start: Kamniška Bistrica-Žmavčarji and descent same path, only descent more annoying due to vast scree on Žmavčarji.

On Sunday we did a tour to Rinke. We started already on Saturday late afternoon at cargo cableway on Jezersko and went up Slovenian path to Kranjska hut on Ledine, where we slept too. No crowd, though weekend. When it dawned in the morning, we continued to Koroška Rinka, along path noticed some chamois and ibex. Path well secured and marked, therefore not too hard. From Koroška Rinka then up to Kranjska and Štajerska. Views very nice. On return path turned also to top of Mala Rinka. Returned via Turski žleb and then past Savinjsko sedlo back to Ledine. A little after end of žleb, traversed to path to saddle, shortened path and thus kept altitude. On Ledine short stop, then via hunter path back to valley. Very nice tour, got to know another part of Kamnik-Savinja Alps and thus fully did Jezersko mountain path. nasmeh

Last Saturday I climbed from Ravenska Kočna via Ledine to Koroška Rinka.

The path is secured, but I wouldn't rate it as excellently secured, especially since it is not true that the cables cover the climbing part from start to end. Most of the middle part is without any protection, and the path mostly leads over quite exposed ledges full of scree. A slip anywhere on this part could be fatal, so the path seemed quite unpleasant and dangerous to me.

I emphasize that my intent is not to discuss where protections should be, but just to warn that this path definitely should not be underestimated.

We must adjust the path's difficulty to our abilities. The path to Koroška Rinka is secured according to all regulations. Lp

My impression today was that the path is excellently secured and maintained, in accordance with its nature. It is not swept and probably won't be. It doesn't say "very demanding" for nothing. And if Matz's intent was to warn not to underestimate the path, that is true. There are more cables in the part that leads from Mrzli dol, although even there the cable is not everywhere.
