I don't understand many things, nor this one. Why does the sign say that parking is free from 16.11. to 15.3., if it's closed. For me that sign means it's open and free. At least they should be consistent. Closed is closed, free means open for me, or what....

Tourists should take the bus, if not they should pay the highest fee, we who go for the whole day the lowest.... no problem paying for parking, just hard to bear this municipal scam, where those driving up and down just for a photo pay nothing or very little, the hiker going to the valley in the morning and out of it in the evening pays the highest fee...... the reason they cite is that there will be fewer cars in the valley, fewer trips up and down... but right now there will be more... GREEN AGENDA... pure scam and money grabbing....

PZS rests on the past and is losing prestige. It does almost nothing for its members. Let's ask ourselves, whose property are the marked hiking trails. The organization is not up to the present day. Regarding free access to trails, it's a long lost battle, if it ever was one. We'll have to direct the money for membership fees to toll payments instead. When there is no longer such numerous membership, there will also be no money for PZS salaries, and maybe then something will change.

This is to some extent an interesting matter. Lago Braies. In high season from the start of July to the start of September. From 9.30 to 16h the road is closed. So for those going on a tour, no problems; in the morning you're surely there before half past nine, and there's also no problem waiting until four in the afternoon with a beer or coffee if you finish the tour earlier. The price for daily parking was last year 20€. Twenty euros, and that's in the Dolomites, by a world-famous lake; besides, the parking is under video surveillance. How is it at Blato or Vrata?
For tourists during the time the road is closed, they offer advance reservation of a parking spot; in this case you can also drive to the lake between half past nine and four. Admittedly expensive, last year 38€, but attention! this price includes a consumption in one of the locals by the lake worth 15€. How about consumption in Bohinj, Mojstrana, etc.?
