This is ordinary Slovenian theft. Just like in all areas, local communities have smelled the money and are introducing usurious parking fees and usurious prices for viewing sights, which are a public good. There is no excuse for this usury here. I advise all these big shots to visit the Carnic Alps, Dolomites, and finally nearby Zajezera, to see the arrangement of parking lots, especially parking prices, if they already compare with similar things in Slovenia, where usury always gains more momentum under the pretext of nature protection. As said, one needs to look to developed Europe. From the increasingly backward Balkans...

The worst is to ignore and go elsewhere to the mountains; they will do as they please and whatever comes to mind. Yesterday in the car I listened to the radio; someone was talking (topic a bit different) that you have to bang on the table and if you can't agree nicely then ugly words will fall too. We need to sit together and find a solution good for all. If they don't want to talk then we need to "force" them into it. Until there is agreement among all there shouldn't be barriers or parking meters at all. Conditionally only during the tourist season July, August.

“The worst is to ignore and go to other mountains, they will do as they please.” And what else remains for us? To pay and accept usurious prices? Only that will sober them if they won't have anyone to charge. Foreigners will soon withdraw from such points too. Unless our standard falls so much, which is happening, that it will be pocket change for them. We can be grateful that borders are at least normally passable now. Sometimes it wasn't and I fear we're returning there. For “comparable” prices let them look at Austria besides Italy. They say elsewhere there's no “free” transport. Who wanted it anyway. Let those who invented it ride public transport. And the petition won't solve anything either. Especially if ours don't submit it.

In Triglav National Park the laws mentioned in the petition don't apply at all... Regarding state roads

Question: until Monday 4.11. the barriers are up. Is the parking fee collected at the end of the road until then or is parking free? Thanks for info!

I don't fully agree that nothing can be achieved. As far as I remember the "Maribor way" of solving speed cameras issue was quite successful.

How do you mean laws don't apply? So if police stops me in TNP area or municipal warden catches me on radar, law doesn't apply? Take a look at Bohinj, by the lake speed limit 30 km/h (at the bridge) and law applies for sure, no worry

Now you can still sneak or fudge the time a bit if you're lucky ...later it will be much harder, unless you take the little train over the ramp ..in short...so that no one by chance leaves too little money in the valley..you naughty hiker

What about Črlovec parking lot? I don't even know where the barrier is, in Mojstrana? But from 15.11. to 15.3. no payment? I'll just write a book, Why I stopped going to Slovenian mountains? I spend more time on this fu... parking than on planning the hike itself. Here, there will be even more accidents, everyone nervous in the morning.

I have a feeling everyone rushes where it's most expensive. And then you're "nervous" before the hike. Some would even settle it "Maribor-style". As far as I know, they're now collecting bids for new radars in Maribor. And that's right.

Barrier is at the end of Mojstrana, even before that vehicle counter. Yeah some would settle Maribor-style, those are loudest hiding behind keyboard

Cjendaw: past the barrier are the Peričnik waterfall, Črlovec, Poldov rovt and then the main parking, located a few dozen meters past the parking for Vrtaško sleme.

Today I was in Vrata, the barrier was open... I took a ticket, as an honest citizen I wanted to pay upon return but the cash desk was not working.. so it might be free
