No problem. That's why we're here, to help each other. I also like checking info from other portal members and it seems the least I can do is to return it sometimes.
Sometimes someone might have a slightly bad day and add something sharp or cheeky (which they wouldn't even say seconds later), but at the end of the day it's right that we "mountaineers" are friends and help each other with conditions, gear and other mountain-related things; other pointless misunderstandings that are often self-serving and mean nothing, let's forget them. Yesterday 17.8. on Škrlatica. We started from Vrata a bit after 2am, to bivouac IV and on to Škrlatica. Our goal was of course to greet the sunrise on the summit, but we caught it somewhere on the wall of Škrlatica. No big deal nasmeh

the tour was of course excellent and beautiful as always. From the summit we had a great view all the way to the sea! We were first on top and on descent met about 20 hikers or even more. Descended the same path to Vrata. Excellent tour and wonderful day!

It was a dark night, clock at 2.35, when me and my buddy headed from Vrata towards Škrlatica. Forecasters said "early bird gets the worm" and it proved true as we reached the summit after five hours and enjoyed one hour of nice weather, then clouds did their bit, as usual in our mountains nasmeh

That was our first ascent of Škrlatica, true last year I tried alone to get to the top but leg cramps wouldn't let me though I was only 300m short. This year it worked and we can say it was a nice day for us mežikanje

Triglav and Stenar await the first sun rays to illuminate them.

Still winter at the Triglav foothills :)

So the cloud already embraced our sheepdog early on :)

Špik from which I have already observed the conquered goal (Škrlatica).

Razor in the middle still awaits us, Krn left and Bavški Grintavec right :)

Prisojnik in front, from the left Bavški Grintovec, my favorite Jalovec and Mangart,.. and of course Mojstrovke there in front of them :)

Today from Vrata to Škrlatica. / first time / Fog to bivouac, dew, so I already regretted pushing up there. Then the sun finally came out. On summit like in a fairy tale with views far around and in company of two lads and a girl. No wind, so we stayed on top quite a while. On return I also popped to Peričnik.

the group is going down, I'm enjoying a bit more

Bravo for persisting and being rewarded. I turned back in the morning below Zelenica when heading for Vrtača, because from moisture and dew and grayness everything was dripping from my hair.....If one knew, one wouldn't be a fool, they say. heh velik nasmeh

Me too yesterday for the first time on Skrlatica. Already terrible crowd at Vrata in the morning, but when you turn right there, real oasis of peace and under beautiful mountains towards Zgornji Dolek and then into Skrlatica wall. Mukica was already waving back to Vrata, a few smaller groups up. Weather warm and sunny. Beautiful tour and definitely will repeat it sometime, Skrlatica completely enchanted me. At the top midday and early afternoon looked like this.
