"Todi", please for information, in what condition is the bivouac, is it possible to sleep in it. About ten years ago it was solidly equipped, a couple of years ago I slept in it on bare boards. Thanks for the answer.

@kolpa, of course you can sleep solidly in it, as I quickly looked there are blankets inside for underlay. And yesterday too, they were preparing to sleep in it

The problem of the four is mainly that foreigners occupy it, so it's hard to count on getting space.

I'm interested if anyone has personal experience with overnighting in the four. They really had problems years ago with Czechs who "occupied" it, but I'm interested in the current situation. I'd like to visit Škrlatica in two days, so I need the info urgently for trip planning. Thanks for an objective answer...

You might run into a bus of Easterners, or it might be empty. I suggest not going up only in the afternoon, but earlier, cover one bed with a sleeping bag liner, preferably leave some less valuable gear on that bed. In the afternoon hop to Dolkovo or Stenar and upon return hope the gear is still there and the bed empty...

On Sunday I passed the bivouac at 4:15 and peeked a bit. Not only was it full inside, they were also sleeping outside in sleeping bags.

Does anyone have a fresh picture of Skrlatica and the kotel?

In snow and dry the passages Skrlatica-kotel-Rokavski ozebnik are good, of course if that's what you meant. There is definitely snow, the shady side has plenty Good luck

I would add to frix's question if the path from Skrlatica to Dolkova spica and further circular to the bivouac is dry? LP

Today on Škrlatica from Vrata... You have to cross quite a few snowfields but the snow is soft and winter gear is not needed... There's still a lot in the cirque between Škrlatica and D.Spica. Here in my opinion winter gear is needed for safe passage...

Is passage from Škrlatica to Pogačnikov dom possible without winter gear?

I don't get it! Is it so hard to attach ice axe and crampons to backpack? If yes, then stay lower.

But to me it's logical people ask since that's what forum is for right? And crampons and ice axe probably not everyone has... As I wrote few days ago in z.Dolku that's between Škrlatica and k.Spico still big snowfield... Snow is soft but crampons and ice axe needed in this case...
