Thanks, @pikica! The route is so familiar that I make no unnecessary steps, leave poles at standard spot before cable, stop only once to drink and change, enjoy upper climbing part most, rock is solid, if dry even more reliable steps.

Does anyone know what the conditions are like on Skrlatica from Vrata? Is there still snow anywhere?

Some crampons in the backpack and it'll go like butter, but it's not excluded that it might go without gear. Not everything depends on conditions, it also depends on you how you handle situations

If it helps... photo taken on Saturday from the top of Razor. Judging by Dolkova špica and the summit part of Skrlatica, I'd say there's no snow on the path, or if there's a patch somewhere, it can probably be bypassed.

On Sunday on Skrlatica and Dolkova špica. Starting point was in Vrata.
Well spent day with nice weather. Didn't need winter gear. In the upper part of the path to Skrlatica there's still some small snow patches that don't cause problems. Towards Dolkova špica below and in the notch there's still some snow where you need to be more careful. From afar I wasn't sure if it'd go without gear, but decided to check and managed the passage. On the south side then no more issues.

Someone lost a glove halfway to the Na Rušju bivouac. I hung it on the signpost in Vrata, below Aljažev dom.

New morning above IV-ka. Path to Skrlatica almost entirely dry, little snow in upper part, no issues there.

Thanks, Peter. Seems strange to me there's still so much snow, obviously a lot more fell in Julians than in Kamniks. Yesterday on shady side of Grintovec just below summit only one small patch of hard snow left.

Hi, does anyone happen to know why and how the cross on top of Škrlatica turned to the left? My photo is taken roughly from the same spot as the photo from 1996 in the Planinski vestnik, where it's clearly seen that it's oriented differently. I'm just a curious guy and wonder if anyone knows. velik nasmeh

Gašper, I think it's twisted because they reinforced it a few years ago (re-anchored it), now the base is heavily reinforced with a pile of concrete.
