Skuta really is a pleasant mountain and its name has a milky origin. Whoever hasn't been there yet, has missed out on quite a lot. Though it stands in the shadow of the KSA king, still the view on it is pleasant for the eyes. Drago managed it even in winter in honor of this modest verse in rhyme.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations and best wishes, especially @otiv-u for the nice verses. The tower on the 18th picture was placed as a puzzle by Darja Zaplotnik. Best regards to everyone from foggy Styria!

I'm quite sorry that due to absence I couldn't be with you on such a nice tour. But, in summer through that window on your picture, on the ridge Kranjska Rinka-Skuta, we'll eat together, me, you, Vinko and someone else. Great pictures you made, for the soul and ...

Yesterday on Skuta from Mali Podi. Since we slept really well in the bivouac in the morning, we had sun only on the ascent - hot like in an oven, snow quite rotten. At the top dense fog so we got lost on descent into a nice gully (following skis and footsteps of ŠpehM from TK Gora ) but quickly realized it's not the right one and then nicely to Velike Podi. Descent through Gamsov skret...

and nobody goes to Skuta? I imagine you need to be equipped with winter gear, but, did the fixed protections survive the snowy winter well? Nobody has been? Thanks

Just yesterday on Skuta. First from Kamniška Bistrica to bivouac under Skuta then to the top of Rinka. Path is dry only one snow patch to cross. It's steep, so we put crampons on. Then also to Skuta. Also one snow patch to cross with crampons. Otherwise path dry. All protections OK only 3 pitons a bit loose otherwise no problem. LP

You don't have much choice, up one and down the other.

whichever you want,, south side recommends ice axe,, on the other side or under long ridge as you wish,, now whoever plunders

how about the snow patches?

Go ask them

|
| redbull23. 07. 2014 20:45:38 |
the path to Skuta is dry if you go to Mlinarsko sedlo and over the long ridge to Skuta,, the other two paths are such that you'll still walk a bit on snow, now there's no need to ask anymore, since you've learned everything. On 9 August you're invited, we can go together over Skuta to Grinte lp
