What about stamps? Are there stamps on Skuta, Križ and Jezerska koča? Thanks for the answer

Stamps are on all these summits. You need your own ink pad. But they're all very worn and after stamping it's hard to read which summit they were from.

Stamps for Skuta, Dolgi hrbet, Brano and Planjava are also in the hut at Kamniško sedlo.

Yesterday, 9.8., I did the route to Skuta from the Žmavcarji direction. There is no more snow on the path, but I would mention that a bit below the summit where the last chain is, caution is not superfluous. The big rock held by the chain is tensioned like a string; above it only two bolts hold it in cracked rock. I preferred to bypass it on the left with easier climbing, about 2-3 m, and then stepped onto the path that goes transversely. Otherwise, it was phenomenal nice weather, just as ordered; I haven't had such weather in the mountains this year yet PICTURES and detailed description of personal impressions from the path Regards! On Thursday 9.8.2018 I did the tour Dom v Kam. Bistrici - Cojzova koča - Skuta - Turska gora - Kamniška koča - Dom v Kam. Bistrici. The tour is long and quite hot, even though we started walking at 05:00. We chose tours from this side mainly because of the easy and quick descent from Kamniška koča, especially the scree that shortens the descent considerably after such a long tour. Otherwise, I would recommend doing the tour in the reverse direction. Skuta from Cojzova koča is quite easy, the descent from Skuta to Turska is quite crumbly, you really need to be careful not to trigger rocks on those ascending to Skuta from Žmavcarji, for example. Then again an easy ascent to Turska gora and again a quite demanding descent to Kamniška koča via Kotliči, which are well protected but definitely easier to ascend Turska via Kotliči than to descend. SVK might be useful at Kotliči in certain sections, we didn't have it with us. Otherwise an immensely beautiful tour. Best regards.

Nice description, thanks. So is the path via Kotliči now repaired and fixed? Once they reported a landslide and that the path was closed? How long did you two take?

The path through Kotliče is repaired and maintained.

Kotliči are repaired and well protected. They are very varied and interesting, so I would recommend the ascent from Kamniška koča to Turska gora as a super tour. For the route Dom v Kam. Bistrici - Cojzova koča - Skuta - Turska gora - Kamniška koča - Dom v Kam. Bistrici we needed 12 hours, of which 10 hours walking and 2 hours rest. It's true that we are physically excellently prepared. The path can be shortened if you leave the car in Kamniška Bistrica somewhat higher, say where the cable car path crosses the path to Jermanco, there's a nice spot to leave the car. In any case it's crucial to start very early on the path, since you're always in the open and the sun doesn't relent. Lp

In the upper part of the secured path coming from the bottoms, there is very high danger that a large rock will fly off! The rock is held only by the steel cable. Yesterday a larger stone also flew off from there and luckily only slightly grazed one lady with a small pebble that broke off. I don't recommend the path, but bypassing the damaged part on the left is possible.

@Grenaleva six posts higher my 4th picture or in the route description picture 39. As SabinaM also mentioned it's possible to avoid this on the left and after a good 2-3 meters you step on the path that goes across to the left uphill.

Has that rock hanging on the steel cable been removed?

No, the rock is still on the steel cable. Today when I was on Skuta a mountaineer who went that route said the rock is still there. He added that it can be bypassed without difficulty. I myself also planned to go over there, but then due to still active scree I didn't decide to.

Look, the path is officially closed because of active scree. If something happens to someone, you are yourselves to blame, not that all others only those no. Once don't provoke an accident where that rock can crash into the valley anytime

Hi, does anyone have a fresh photo of Skuta from Podov, or from anywhere, so you can see Skuta from the south side?
