Does anyone know if the path from Mala Pišnica to Slemenova Špica is passable yet? The path is supposed to be closed due to rockfall. Thanks

Arrived from Tamar via gully to the ridge, went to MM(south) and back to Slemenova Špica. Returned past Črne vode, made a loop.

Yesterday there were quite a few of us on Slemen and we had something to see...

Yesterday after shift I drove to Vršič and skied to Slemenova Špica. It was super, no people, only sheep bells under the summit. On the way back I went under the MM wall and crossed a few short snowfields. After 4-month abstinence it was like a plaster on a wound...

For those going on the upper path to Slemenova Špica (under Mojstrovka walls) warning at first snowfield crossing. Better to bypass it on the lower side, but this will be quite problematic for children or elderly people. I suggest using the lower path to Sleme. Regards

On Friday, 29.7., we went with the family to Slemenova Špica. No snow of course now, as for the panorama, I have no words. Jalovec wins hands down, shame Škrlatica was in clouds, but no complaints...

The last picture is gorgeous, Nacek! We'll repeat Slemenova Špica this year too.

Thanks. Otherwise I recommend this tour, it's not long and worth it. At the end I couldn't leave at all...

Here you really rest "from all evil," says Mihelič... also my picture of Jalovec, from Kumljah (PP2 chamois rice)

Hi. I would ask for help planning the route . Tomorrow we plan to conquer Mala Mojstrovka (maybe Velika Mojstrovka too) and Slemeno Peak. To MM via Hanza path (or better return from Slemeno Peak to Vratca then to MM?). Back from MM via south path. Any advice from those familiar with peaks above Vršič

Most optimal is as you already wrote. First Slemeno Peak, then same path to Vratca and from there to Hanza entrance. Shorter but steeper option: from Slemeno Peak cross scree under north face MM (some path made - more trail) to Hanza entrance (check panorama from Slemeno Peak). To VM from MM summit via gully in picture and same back to south path: http://www.hribi.net/slika.asp?gora=2062

Yesterday conquered Slemenova Špica and Mala Mojstrovka (via Hanzova)... In the morning had to wait for clouds and fog to dissipate, then perfect day for enjoying the chamois world.

Yesterday afternoon Slemeno visit. From Vršič fastest and easiest approach. Paradise for photography, unfortunately Jalovec fog-covered, need to repeat visit. Somehow at that time rescue operation on Zadnja Mojstrovka.

On Sunday morning I park in Planica and cycle to Tamar. There in the hut I eat strudel and meanwhile listen to the chatter of Hungarians at breakfast at the next table. Well, there was also one slim Hungarian girl sitting there. Then I head to Slemenova Špica through Grlo. Although Grlo looks very 'scary' from the valley, it's not such a big bogey. On the sand before the gully you grope a bit for the marks then it's quite well marked and the path quite followable, though of course you have to struggle through all the scree and rocks. At the top of Grlo real autumn colors await me, which I admire also on the further ascent. Eventually the view opens to the indispensable Dobrač which accompanied me the whole weekend of my wanderings and to Pišnica (by the way, the path from Pišnica is still officially closed). Then I see a rock with arrow above which says 'Water' but I get only to something that was a streamlet. Revež has completely dried up in the drought lasting some weeks. I continue and after a while join the path from Vršič and the crowd of people (until now completely alone). Shortly I reach Jezerc, which judging by pics due to drought have shrunk to minimum and the logbook then in a few dozen steps to the top with nice view on Ponce, Jalovec, Mojstrovka, Špik, Škrlatica,... and north to Austria and down to Tamar and Planica. People full on top and below. I descend via the path over Črne Vode. It's not problematic except near the waterfall of same name where the path is a bit slippery and wet. Waterfall still flows despite drought! Soon back in Tamar where full of people, almost a real party so I go without stopping around the bend behind the hut to the afternoon goal.

Can you hide the bike somewhere at the hut or how (besides locking it)? So it doesn't ride off into the unknown by accident.
