Hey, Kozorog, to catch the birdies in front of the lens, you really have to be at the right time in the right place! mežikanje
And really another photo would fit - surely you have plenty more in stock nasmeh

tisa and velesa.... thanks!nasmeh Well I really have quite a few wonderful pics but I think only this one among all I devoted quite some attention to... especially remembering how I "convinced" the dipper to check out the little beauty in the pondmežikanje

When I was on Viševnik and Raduha I didn't need to "convince" dippers, for successful training I used food they practically took from my hand nasmeh Don't keep the other pics just to yourself though nasmehmežikanje

"every eye has its own painter"

Nevertheless it wasn't kitschy at all like they say but simply beautiful...

Mountains are beautiful enough without HDR. With excessive editing, photos become unnatural.

How about passability of the path from Tamar to Vršič (over Grlo or under Mojstrovka) in case of snow?

Speculating a bit that some will fall these days and settle by Saturday and be suitable for a tour over there.

Snowfall limit will rise above 2000 meters.

Today to Slemen from Vršič, path to Vratc dry, further towards Slemen some snow but path well trodden so no problems at all. On top alone for a while, then hikers started arriving and judging by the number we met on return Slemen was very crowded today, parking at Vršič packed like best summer weekends.nasmeh

@ploha how glad I am to see when someone else does it instead of menasmeh, not even sure if I'd add any with such nice photos. Path to Tamar over Grlo (north side) is snowy and doesn't look like anyone went recently, while path to Tamar on south side is already quite dry.

But I'm that lucky guy who enjoyed this immense beauty today by starlight and morning awakening for several hours and surprisingly it was warmer than cold for me.

Today from Vršič to Slemenova Špica, on return also to Robičje. If only it were "kitschy" like today more often. Path to Robičje quite overgrown and hard to pass but worth it. Quite a few hikers, even with small kids.

Again from Vršič to Slemeno špico. For a change, return over scree under Mala Mojstrovka and via Hanzova to the path joining from Šitna glava. From the junction still to Šitna glava and descent towards Vršič. Weather cloudless and no wind.

Yesterday from Erjavčeva koča to Slemenova špica, then over scree to entry of Hanzova. Up via it to Mala Mojstrovka, then on to Velika and Zadnja Mojstrovka and Travnik. Descent from Travnik to saddle towards Zadnja Mojstrovka and right after wall down scree where I took path to Vratc. Then descent to Vršič and back to start. Mostly dry on Hanzova. Some snow patches but crossable without issue. Footprints already there and much easier. Cables and pegs in good condition. Wonderful views from summits. It was a day not to be wasted. Safe in mountains. velik nasmeh
