Jusk thanks, madeira pity. But met one hiker on upper path, maybe we'll meet somewhere else. Nice flowers and this year still quite fresh..

Nice pics, tempting me. I can also head somewhere only on weekend. My husband is pre-retirement, so he goes during the week to Struška.
Hope the weather will be nice this weekend for all that beautiful flowers.

jprim, flowers are waiting and the path over Ptičji vrh to Sedlo Suha is quite interesting. And there are flowers again..

Hello, this Saturday we also headed to the blooming paradise of Struška. Wonderful! Went through Medji dol and along the border to the summit, path steep all the way, but views and flower gardens along the path pay it all. I see Austrians also like to visit this peak. We even threw frisbee over the border, so much space and nice grass. 
Otherwise planned to Golica or at least the hut, but unplanned fought with dwarf pines on the ridge about an hour (with another couple too), took too much time and energy, so turned at sedlo Kočna and back to Belska planina to see flowers and rock garden. Wonderful! Quite some people here too.
Back to Pristava along the road, no more risking shortcuts, drags though...
Narcissi on Golica seen only from afar, but enough along our path too.
Why fight with pines? After Veliki vrh on Struška continued path towards Golica, same another couple, found right among pines small path, to snowfield, followed several tracks that seemed to know where they were going... After a while tracks ended before pines, no passage.  So each fought their own way seeking passages and got out above sedlo Močile. Luckily weather helped "exploring".
Obviously should follow border stones all the way, does border path along ridge lead there? Is it really traceable? Would like to visit peak again and do loop tour, but without "exploring"...

georgina, on the border path you also have to descend into a gully, usually there's still a lot of snow there even in June and then find the path back to the ridge. On the top my sister and I always built a cairn, but next time it was already gone. Then it's a fairly well visible path all the way to Kočna saddle. But at the start of summer the bushes hang down from the snow and sometimes you get a bit scratched. Yeah, bushes drain energy and will. Good luck

sAleska, if this helps you - I was there 24.12., road was plowed and in places you can see down to the sand. It was very icy though and they drove more with 4-wheel drive. Don't know the current situation though.
