12.4.2020.... Planina Seča is currently a winter fairy tale. Two-thirds of the path is still under snow. In places you sink up to your knees. Under the leaves ice is hiding. But it's nice on the pasture and the views are wonderful. Triglav more distant, Skalaška inviting and the path through the Rida amphitheater is all under snow. Slopes above the hut are bare. Another warning, the road to Križovci is not passable with a regular car. Unless you dare to drive on ice. The icy ruts are very deep and I drove in reverse for quite a while to turn around. Also on the road past Pristava there are many deep ditches. Stay healthy, hope I brighten your day. nasmeh

Some today's impressions from cold and windy Struska. Starting point-Križovec. On the border path to the summit there's still quite some snow, which doesn't pose a major obstacle, a bit of sinking. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

On Pristava and meadows snowdrops are blooming and with their whiteness beautify the green grasses. Some bloom even before Belska planina. Our ascent to Struska was spiced by wind. Visibility wasn't the best, but the beauty of narcissi outweighed it all. More at: https://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/153391/

Nice yesterday afternoon walk from Križovec to Belska planina and to Mala Golica. The day was for collecting pine tips and dandelion flowers. It was very windy. But very nice walk. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Beautiful floral fairy tale on Struska still lasts. Even twice these days. Today from Križovec along border path to summit. Last part to top denser scrub, some cairns, but passable. Saw young viper on path, friends too, so not so rare. Nature, flowers, views, gorgeous. One side alpine bells, some pasque flowers. Struska summit lots gentian. Then narcissus, marmot, edelweiss, other flowers, really enjoyed.
Today returned middle path to Pusti rovtu. This loop my favorite. When going from Belska planina to Medji dol, watch to turn left timely to Struska summit (sign on path, no label as unmarked...). Also descent from Struska summit border path can be tricky. Rock has cairn, then dense scrub, easily misleads or deters from path...But Struska so nice, enjoy exploring too.

Belska planina, Veliki vrh, planina Seča, Konjska peč - nice loop trail. Little flowers around the hut at Belska planina are slowly saying goodbye. Higher up to Vel. vrh they will last a bit longer. Border path to Medvedjak and planina Seča is pleasant. Along the path little gardens full of flowers. On the pics I marked the hunting, now mining educational trail. Nice, bit of everything. Parked the car on road-to Mavre-, bend right before Križovec. And back past Konjska peč there. Just watch at end of little path not to take path to Medji dol, more visible. nasmeh

For ski tourers and walkers someone made excellent track to Križovec, further to Pusti rovtu, Belska planina and Struska only faint trail. For walkers strongly recommend snowshoes, else very strenuous.

On weekends there is some space for cars, further ahead only little

From here on the road is impassable, turning around is also difficult

Ticks are almost mandatory. Luknjač in front of us didn't have them

From Pristava hut to Pusti Rovt there is a groomed sledging track, snowshoes not needed. Towards Kočna saddle and right towards Svečica peak, snowshoes were needed, all the way to the shepherd hut on Svečica pasture.
