To the mountains with a dog?!

Ask vet Butinar also for yourself for some advice, it might help you, only there's very little hope that he'll succeed.zmeden

I really didn't know nor believe that mountaineers can be so very rude and insulting. I was of the opinion that we are tolerant, that we know how to enjoy nature, that we look at our own problems and leave others ..., I really had only positive opinions about you, (to which I also joined this year, since I've been mountaineering intensively this year). But this on this forum is sadness of all sadnesses, to not say shame. Although I myself gave two opinions, with them I didn't insult or hurt anyone. Here lately you just insult each other, are you really so unlucky that not even our mountains heal your soul anymore????

Or haven't you noticed yet that the "insulting" trend is present on all forums? Provocateurs provoke, naive ones respond. This is just proof of what state today's society is in.

It's not that bad, the provocateur is just one, you can see from the writing style, from anger and great haste mixes up letters, no space where it should be, doesn't know where s or z is, thinks only one answers him, because ignores all well-meant advice and pushes his own, always wants the last word ...
In my thirty-five years of hiking in the hills I had no bad experiences with mountaineers, despite always having a dog companion and the mentioned gentleman advises me to visit the vet. Such a person doesn't put me in a bad mood, I think he's more at risk of a stroke from tension, which I really don't wish him, you never know why a person is like that, probably survived a lot of bad ...
Nice greeting nasmeh

I too have long ago realized that there's one deeply offended dog hater on this forum. Perhaps he'd confide in us what horrible experiences he's had with dogs in the mountains, but probably has horrible experiences in life overall and that's why he doesn't know how else to vent than with hostility to all living things.

I agree with Pipi, reflection of our society's state. There are arrogant dog owners and arrogant dog haters.zadrega A bit of patience, there's enough space in the mountains and valleys for everyonejezik

You are really geniuses, so smart that you figured out there's only one dog opponent on this forum. And that from mistakes. Read the comments of dog supporters and marvel at how literate they are. Anyway, typos aren't the essence of this problem at all, but you've now focused on them. To distance yourselves from the problem. Better become aware of your own mistakes, law violations and endangering people. But I agree with the guest before me. Tolerance, but for all, not just non-dog owners.

Hey ho! I came back to check a bit how things stand here and see it's more "lousy". Yep, the enemy here is mainly one! So - not pointless after all? nasmeh Otherwise congrats for the pup on Triglav! Really super! And for the pup on Rodica. My little doggie is smaller and doesn't hike with me, but we happily go to nearby hills where she enjoys herself and goes totally crazy when she sees we're heading there nasmeh
Dogs rule. All animals rule. And all REASONABLE people ... you rule! meLlikanje

MODERATOR, please move this topic elsewhere (under general talks), because it doesn't belong here!!!

I think the debate about dogs hiking in the mountains of course belongs nowhere else but under the title "with a dog in the mountains"velik nasmeh. I just suggest that visitors of this forum who are also active on dog forums move it there as well; surely there it can be discussed on this topic in quite a different way, since enemies of animals probably don't visit those forums.

Forums are public. Freedom of speech is of course determined by the constitution, but ... Everyone shows here what they are like. Now: do we start ignoring or do we get upset? Or we can talk about nice things. That's what I think. I have a dog and I'm a hiker. And that's why I think the topic is relevant on both forums, but no one ordered anyone to read it. Have a nice time.

Hi. I'll just "paste" one more post nasmeh
I also have a little dog - a mix between Labrador and German shepherd (crazy about water ~ so she jumps into every puddle, lake, anything, as long as it reminds of water, and if someone turns up their nose at a dog in water, I reply friendly with a slight cynical tone that her fur is surely cleaner than his shoes, with which he walks on all spit-on sidewalks, etc.) ... (but our Megi is also of fiercer nature and accordingly strictly raised. But there are people, when they see us, and Megi off leash next to me, already from 200 m someone yells to tie the dog bla bla bla, and then they sweetly laugh when she walks by my side "heel", like a pro.) ... The most interesting though, at least rough estimate (by eyemeLlikanje), that they complain only people who have negative attitude to animals, fear them, and at some stage express disgust to them too, often these people come from meat environments, and devil, "pollute with their negative attitude to nature (animals are nature too) the nice mountain environment..."
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... (better stay home!)
... Our most wonderful dog friends we take with us anyway, of course, if we see that the pup enjoys hiking, and they must obey us too, no, if nothing else, at least that they come immediately to their "boss" nasmeh
My Megi goes totally crazy when she sees in the evening the backpack being packed and snack for her nasmeh, and then early morning departure, she's in the car before us all ... and then all excited up the slope. She's been on many 2000ers, from Storžič, and even on such a small hill as Jošt in Kranj.
(PS: and lots of water for the doggie with youmeLlikanje)

Could we somehow agree to talk in Slovenian on this forum and that semi-literate people don't write their linguistic and spelling inventions here?mrk pogled

I support the above opinion. We live in Slovenia and here there shouldn't be the influence of Njegoš - "write as you speak, ..." Unfortunately, the influence of these people is present on all forums and in practice beautiful Slovenian is giving way to other forms.

I think, why are you meddling how people write?! If you don't find mistakes in the content, you meddle in this or what?! Better look how many there are here who don't even space after comma and don't put commas at all! And no one complains about that and no one bats eyelashes and flaps ears ... So-called "beautiful Slovenian" (I agree it's beautiful) is expressed also through form and attitude. Insults - like "semi-literate people" etc. - are low for me, conversational writing is even more apt because of that.
This forum subpage is for debate of hikers and dog owners. I think it's desirable to be polite. No one stops anyone from venting their fears, but nicely and reasonably.
Guest above - Megi is definitely "fajn" (ok dear advocates if I put in quotes?). Surely met on Jošt, I also often go there with my pooch. nasmeh
In future (new incoming guests in this debate) - read some comment above or be fair read all and don't meddle just what suits you now. I think only then comments justified.
Nice day,
Z.
