Best is to go to Triglav in autumn, when there's no crowd.

5Xum, I agree with you. The path from Planika over Škrbina is really quite demanding, especially for those who haven't been to Triglav yet. I walked this path this weekend and, as an experienced mountaineer, rate it as technically very demanding.
For beginners I recommend ascent with a guide.

Jure, how is it with snow down there, krajna start? We were a month ago and it was impassable without winter gear...

No snow on the path that I walked! Except right before entry to Škrbina there are some small snow patches, which aren't problematic.
If you're not experienced, I advise against the path over Škrbina!

Questions really are never superfluous, if they are thoughtful or not just questions to ask something. Some are really strange...
All paths to Triglav whether from Kredarica, from Planika etc. are very demanding... quite vertically upwards along ropes and pegs, on "exposed" ridge etc., if crowded it is also dangerous from falling stones that sometimes dislodge. All these factors must be considered and prepared for.

Although all paths to Triglav are very demanding, that doesn't mean asking about the hardest among them is strange. From planika the path is very demanding both over škrbina and over mali triglav, but between them there is a distinct difference.

Of course there are differences in difficulty also among very demanding paths. But, if I interpreted the question correctly, the question went more in the direction of where or how much exposure etc. there is on a certain path. These seem like "strange" questions to me. Just like someone already commented before me: "escalators go up" nasmeh

@John, you're unnecessarily burdening the readers of this portal with your frustrations nasmeh

I answered the question because I hiked this route this weekend (Krma, Planika, Škrbina, Triglav, ridge, Mali Triglav, Planika and back to Krma). If I weren't going to hike this route soon, I wouldn't comment on the question.
I really don't understand why some people here on this portal like to bother with useless things so much.

No frustrations from my side. Also nothing personal from my side.. from yours obviously yes, judging by the last comment, which shows your frustration. As far as I'm concerned no comment is forbidden. I stated my opinion, if you don't agree it's not my problem, but you can express disagreement, I have no problem with that. For you it seems you do. Jure S, here I agree with John, some really spread stupidities, how much is exposed for them, and pitons and both together and each separately... and which path is harder than the other... Triglav is Triglav and there's no joking here, and some of your statements are too patronizing.

A few pages back there was talk about the path over Škrbina. The snowfield below was nicely passable without winter gear about a week ago, admittedly a bit annoying. Further from the end of the slab up the wall without snow. Now I'm abroad - when I get home, detailed report.

If you go to Triglav it's like being in a shopping center, some waiting to go up, others to go down, folks nervous..

Some pics from the night ascent to Triglav. We started at 23:30 from Krma and at 4:30 without crowds stepped onto the summit. Waited for the sun to peek over the horizon and returned past Kredarica to the starting point in Krma.
