I also called up there and she kindly said from Planika it's all dry, for Plemenice don't know, assumes icy ... I'm interested in that route, if someone goes tomorrow I'd like info ... LP

On the Bamberg route probably still remnants of snow or ice because the ridge is in S-SW direction and most of the day in shade. But most snow already much gone, where it still remains more caution advised.

probably, that's no answer. You're scaring others, if you don't know exactly.

Come on, Redbull, go to sleep instead. No one here to scare. Those who go to the mountains longer roughly know conditions a few days after snowing and nice sun exposure. So much more passable now than before. Different when colder in November, December.

I apologize but I don't know if 3/4 of the folk on this forum has been in Slovenian mountains at least once, because in comments you exaggerate a lot... Go somewhere once, don't be internet thugs... Scaring old ladies without need... With right gear and smarts, without fear and with respect for mountains, uncompromisingly one must conquer summits... nice regards... If there are comments on this, let me say I've been to Triglav 14 times, conquered Grossglockner, planning Matterhorn in the future, maybe Mont Blanc... Nice mountain greeting and good luck.

Don't drink that bull with horns anymore, it harms! A while ago they rescued a mountaineer on Pl. Svečica with helicopter after he downed a can . For mukica I'm not worried, if there's still some snow on Plemenice, I know she climbs prudently and gets the mountains .

You can still turn back in case of possible ice without crampons. Lp

Problem is, easier to ascend on ice than descend, and when you realize can't go further, descent surely has quite some icy patches too. Lp

mukica, watch especially night temps and cloudiness, because then mornings fixed ropes and rocks are frozen...

Hi, Wondering if anyone can advise on access to Rudno polje from the direction of Bača pri Modreju (via Podbrdo and Sorica??) – what's it like and where to go further to Rudno polje? When is it best to start from Rudno polje to Triglav (I know the question maybe silly, but with headlamp is it ok to go from Rudno polje before 5am? How long really to Triglav up? With not too slow pace?

Over Bohinj Saddle (Soriška pl.) you descend to Nemški Rovt, from there via Boh. Bistrica to Jerke village over Korita, Koprivnik and Gorjuš to Mrzli studenec on Pokljuka. There turn left to Rudno polje. A good headlamp allows hiking even at midnight too, of course with basic daytime terrain knowledge. From Rudno polje to Kredarica 5-6h, to the top another 1h.

Much shorter is the path via Koprivnik past the church through the village directly to Goreljek to Šport hotel and further to Rudno polje.

Yesterday I started with colleagues from Vrata, along Tominšek route, past Kredarica to the summit and descent to sleep at Planika. Today only descent from Planika to Krma. Super loop tour if you go with two vehicles. As for snow on the trail, practically none or today probably gone even on those few steps from Kredarica to the summit. Conditions for ascent ideal, recommend!

The path through Plemenice is (almost) dry, just a few spots with icy snow where a careful step is needed. Weather really nice, same for the whole tour...
