The most ironic is that in the end the one who slips or triggers a rock slide due to clumsiness will be the mountaineer with the newest and most expensive gear which he's probably using in the mountains for the first time and maybe doesn't even know how to use.
But he is OK and responsible.
I don't defend that girl and those like her, I just want to say that generalizing and lynching people just because they don't meet your personal standards and justifying it with your right to safety, doesn't work. Because not everything is black and white. And posting pictures of people is nothing else.
Anyway I don't know why this debate is still going, because the pictures of that girl were removed long ago, and that's right.

In every area of life one must adhere to some rules, standards, norms. Those slippers are completely out of the context of mountaineering gear and there is no excuse or further moralizing here.

real mountaineers wouldn't bother with your talks at all. You're ridiculous, especially you cebelca, better go hiking and less deal with others. Maybe you'll see me too, probably not this weekend, but next one in some inov variant of sneakers at the top (if you even know what that is).

Bravo, a whole bunch of mutual reckoning and clearing up that luckily I don't feel like reading even by mistake.
But (in the next days) I'd be very interested in CURRENT CONDITIONS for Triglav, as we plan ascent on Saturday 21.9.2013.

OK, if you allow, I'll write something about the current conditions. I called Dom Planika, where we have tomorrow's sleeping reservation, and they assured me that the conditions for the ascent are very good and in the last days no one has turned back before the summit, as the caretaker colorfully put it.
