Hello, which way can I go to Triglav without ice-axe and crampons? Is it possible now or too much snow? Maybe Rudno Polje or Krma?

On every mountain path to Triglav-Kredarica there is still lots of snow. Even deep down in the lowest ravines there are many parts which you must pass through. Without crampons and ice axe I don't recommend going on the tour, especially since the terrain is unknown to you. There are in Slovenia many much easier nice mountain tours this time without snow. Many tourists come first to reach the highest Triglav, but without any experience, no equipment, no knowledge of any paths, no idea of the required time for such a tour. In Bohinj I met some of the same Polish guys, who want to ascend Triglav, but I saw in their eyes that they maybe have never seen a high mountain, just flat areas. In local mountain villages like Bohinj, you can rent a guide, who will lead you in the best way to the top of Slovenia, safely and show you all the visible areas of the Julian Alps.

Franci Petek starts in the running sense Krma-Triglav (24 hours), so don't scare people with crampons, and so on.

Redbull, don't bullshit, who can go and who can't from ours. When a foreigner asks like that, you know approximately what format of mountaineer it is. Those skilled in mountains go to the top alone when the weather is OK and don't ask for routes, e.g. Austrians, which is not hard for them. If English, Poles or other mountain exotics without home mountains are in play, it's a completely different story. Especially now, when the snow is extremely wet, the risk of slipping is much higher than before.

Better go up, don't bullshit,, you'll see what they're like now up there--all Poles in tracksuits, and so on.

Dejan, you seem quite a guy to me, you really do good stuff in the hills, but regarding advice for someone who asks like this, I agree with Viharnik. It's quite true that those who can get up without gear won't ask on forums. For the asker, better to take ice axe on the walk than helicopter rescue later.

justysia227, definitely don't go climbing Triglav without proper equipment - unless you're really well versed in such tours.

It's obvious to have an ice axe with you, no need to ask anything,, even in August when everything is dry, it's more helpful to me than poles, though funny to many. No hard feelings

I never grudge anyone, because I understand that the world happens as it must mainly by evolutionary-causal-consequential flows. Traverses with crampons on steep terrain are still a better choice than just ice axing step by step.

Thank you for answer. I will back in August. Somebody told me that way from Krma was good one weekend ago by Kredarica without equipment.

Nobody says it can't be done. But it's riskier. As long as you're asking, I'm sure most of us here on this forum will advise winter equipment.

Slept in the winterbivak (huts opened day after)at Vodnikov Dom 25-26 June and started the way to Dom Planika at 5.30 on the 26th. We didn't bring any winter equipment as we didn't have any. Snowfields in early morning hard and difficult to traverse, but manageable, softer in the early afternoon and manageable on normal hiking shoes and hiking poles. From Konsjko Sedlo to Dom Planika found some ways around the big snowfields and from Dom Planika to Triglav only snowfields at the beginning of the trail, but we found less steep ways to climb. Route from Dom Planika to Triglav itself rather easy without winter equipment. Lots and lots of snow in direction of Kanjavec and Hribarice though.

Please tell me what the condition of the path from Rudno polje towards Planika and further to the summit is? Thanks in advance! Greetings from Varaždin!

From Konjsko sedlo to Planika there's some snow, and from Planika to the start of the ascent to Mali Triglav. Poles and even ice axe are useful if the snow is hard. From Rudno to Konjsko sedlo I don't know, but it looks snow-free. Good luck
