alesar the plan was for the weekend. But for now the weather forecast doesn't look great, so possibly we'll cancel or postpone to next weekend. Why?

Thanks carniolus we flew with Cessna 172P suitable for photos because it has high wings. Flew from Divača, recommend to everyone an alternative view of our Julians.
Garmin I think there isn't that much "traffic" to ban it.

The path from Kot has three snow patches up to Debeleg kamen, which are easily passable. Even in case of a slip they are not problematic. From Debeleg kamen onwards there are more snow patches...which are also not noteworthy. Of course, you have to be careful and have a safe step. You can get injured even on a flat path, so don't underestimate the route.
Good luck and safe stepping

From Zadnjica via Luknja to Plemenice no special features on the path. From Plemenice via ZTP mostly all under snow, snow getting harder, so ice axe for safe crossing definitely not superfluous. Via Bovška Škrbina to summit without issues. Descended to Dolič, which is somewhat harder to reach. Hut staff say from Zadnjica direction in basin under Dolič people turning back, no equipment, three exposed snowfields to cross. My estimate snow will last at least three more weeks. Partial dry bypasses possible, watch for slips on scree. Mulatjera to valley no issues.
under the exit boulder of Bambergova1
it's not really steep, but a slip would be like on sandpaper2
there is still snow on Škrbina and also above Škrbina3
ZTP from the top4
Kredarica and Staničeva from the top5
Planika from the top, snow below Gorjansko and also above the rocky part6
towards Dolič7
if it tells someone anything, left Triglav, right Dolič8
from the basin below Dolič9

Today at one in the morning we set out to see
sunrise on Triglav.
Started from Krma via Kredarica to the summit. No need for crampons or ice axe, weather served us well.
Without doubt one of my best hikes to the top.

Very nice. But hope someone will replace or at least remove the flag.

I hope so too. But the one who put it up should know who will take it down, or best, do it himself. It's like picking up scraps after others - unfortunately.

Maybe someone knows, what are conditions on path from Dolič to Triglav, still snowy?

Yesterday from Zadnjica, over Komar to Dolič and to summit, then back via mulatjera. Over Komar fixed protections and path ok, under Dolič still quite some snow. On Igor's 9th picture you can see that part. Me and Janez went straight up and down, not along the mulatjera to the hut. Otherwise yesterday super weather for hiking.

What do you say to date (3 days) 22.,23.,24. 8. 2014 route Rudno polje-Vodnikov dom-Kredarica-Triglav-Dolič-Prehodavci-Sedmera-Bohinj?
Will there still be snow or could it happen that ice axes are needed?

The itinerary is wonderful, but conditions a month ahead no one can tell you...

But from Rudno to Triglav it's quite likely doable.

@kofram: No issue with gliders and paragliders. Powered aircraft should stay nicely outside Triglav National Park borders. Noise doesn't belong in the park.

Hello,

with friends we're heading to Triglav on Saturday. First day we'd like to hike from the seven lakes to Kredarica. Which route do you recommend?

From Koča pri Savici to Kredarica count on a long full-day tour with good fitness. Much shorter is the path from Pokljuka or Krma, especially for mountaineering groups that visit mountains occasionally.
Once with a colleague I took unfit mates in their early twenties to Triglav via Tominšek's. Up they somehow crawled, down already very tough, next day they cursed us with muscle feverjezenzmedenjezen to high heaven and postponed mountain visits for several yearsmrk pogled.

Over Hribarice, there's no big choice. I think 7-8 hours would be enough.
