Yesterday Sunday morning they were closing the openings in the tower so they had to remove the snow.

Me too, I was on Saturday first time in winter conditions on Triglav and I must say the initial ascent to MT is really demanding then pure poetry to the top. At the top almost windless, phenomenal views, on descent from MT a real test as it started blowing very strong from the west and the steps were almost not visible.

Markokt, despite upside-down pics you can see it was exceptional tour.
So not opening new thread. Road to Vrata officially closed but given conditions probably get to end? I turned back yesterday but wonder if anyone been around there lately?

Me too Saturday first time in winter conditions up. Phenomenal we caught weather conditions and all that goes with it. Ascent to MT and descent back to Kredarica... really need to stay focused. Just below summit met Redbull already descending. Congrats to him for approaching via Plemenice and descent to Planika.

Some cars were at the gates Saturday, so no panic, no winter conditions, road same as summer.

Hi. Here I read that one can go via Plemenice. Is it true? I went on 1 November alone and didn't meet anyone. If someone is going at Christmas via Plemenice, I'll join. Own responsibility and winter gear.. Do Luknje is still dry probably.

Up to Luknja it's not dry, snow starts a bit after the junction to Prag. For more read on deyangrm.blogspot.com
Don't venture on the path if you haven't been on Bambergova in such conditions, it's not as easy as it seems.
You were on 1.11 and then it was dry, I know because I was on 26.10 and already then it was - later even nicer weather.
