I have to correct myself, meant Triglav Lodge at Kredarica, not Triglav summit!!

Road to "garages" passable, to Prgarca fairly trodden track, further less and sometimes off marked path. Pedestrians sank in places, skis no issues.

From Kredarica to summit mostly blown, old tracks partly drifted, traverses hard so careful, much snow on ridge, most cables under snow, sometimes along ridge edge. Given temperatures snow not much softened.

Thursday forecast shows pleasant weather on Triglav too mežikanje.

To cut through the wave of negativity, a report from Jaka's pen on conditions on Triglav on Friday:

"It actually started on Thursday evening when Urbanovec and I trudged from Krma to Kredarica. The night was so clear, dry and calm that a cold side wind cooled us almost the whole way, the snow was frozen accordingly. It was already Friday when we wrapped ourselves in cold blankets in the hut and spent a few hours until the first morning light.

Conditions towards Triglav summit were good, given the generally small amount of snow in the high mountains the path is exceptionally well snowed, especially on the ridge there's huge amount of snow (compared to measured 170 cm at Kredarica). Obviously a lot of wet snow fell in December, which froze even on steeper sections and the wind couldn't blow it away.

We enjoyed the morning kitsch and on Mali Triglav awaited the Sun's warmth, which didn't help much as on the ridge we hit moderate south wind.
Visibility was exceptional this time, haven't seen so far from Triglav - Velika Zeljarica (1622 m) far in BiH was easily visible, 284 km from Triglav!

But sadly, sooner or later gotta go down to the valley. From Kredarica we skied down before 11 a.m. and conditions were desperately bad, only on short sections could relax zigzag on predictable snow, crust dominated, locally snow was too softened and sank deep (as deep as it goes this year - 0.5 m?).

Below Prgarca mostly rodeo, little snow, watch for rocks on slippery path. Bushes not covered yet and we took the ski track left under walls. OK, didn't remove skis but it wasn't skiing, little snow and rarely is ski from Kredarica so bad.

This year we're obviously on the sunny and also dry side of the Alps. Or did all this year's snow fall last year?"

Almost 14 days ago I was part of the team filming video clips at Kredarica, Triglav and surroundings. So in three days even with my lack of photography knowledge some good pics for my taste emerged:

Nice, nice that famous alpinists Anže Čokl and Mitja Šorn sometimes post something on this portal and tease us ordinary hikers. It's been a long time since I did quite a few nice ascents with them.

...and therefore we are less worthy because we don't have a "diploma" in our pocket and still reach the summit of Triglav in winter because we try very hard.zavijanje z očmi

I was one day at Kredarica and the path to the summit was not trodden, no one dared to go up until a 70-year-old gentleman (hiker) pulled the spur, then like sheep all behind him. Next day all others reap praises on forums and elsewhere... that gentleman not one mentioned. You're real ones. LG, your diploma doesn't help either...

that gentleman is actually PFranci, just "protecting" those who love mountains and are without "diploma".
