To Triglav?

Yes, this path also has a higher starting point than from Krma, so less elevation difference.

I'm also interested in the walking time.
I went to Stol once, up in 2 hours with quite a few breaks. Below it says around 3 hours.
On what basis do they set the walking time?

They have a norm of 1 hour for 300 elevation meters. But that's really for those who walk very slowly and have many stops on the path.

Anyway, how many hours would it take on that path I mentioned above at a medium pace without breaks (I'll add that myself).

Before Studorski pass there's almost surely water, good week ago there was still quite some snow there, so water there won't run out soon, next water is at Vodnik hut, there some water flows too, further to top harder, but that's enough.

Which path to Triglav is easier. From Planika lodge through Triglav notch to top or from Tržaška hut to Dolič. Is self-protection gear needed?

MATE07 from pokljuka normal is 6 hours so you can be without problem 5 hours on top.!

I've nicely decided to stay a bit lower there's lots of peaks that are less demanding.
For Triglav there'll be time.

Panoramik, hi!
Path to Triglav easier from Dolič direction. Path over Triglav notch runs in wall and joins at top of notch the path from Dolič. Further to top there are also steel cables. I personally put on helmet and self-belay kit, and clip in as needed, or not. Good luck!

Hi, today I went to Triglav from Kot valley via Stanič house to the top - reached the goal in under 5 hours. I've been to the top from many directions already, but I think this one is the easiest and also quite fast with just a little fitness - of course if there's no big crowd.....

I'd go once during the week, back the same day too. Via Planika. Anytime this summer.
Anyone with the same interest, from Gorenjska area? Message "private messages".
Best H!

Yesterday I went for a tour to check the tower on Triglav. Started at Turk's ditch, parking by Bistrica stream, where I also return from Valley behind Cmir. Parking at the end was full along 100m (Slovenes, Czechs, Slovaks, Italians, some Austrians, Germans, Dutch). Go along Bistrica with view of the wall, then turn to traverse to Bivouac under Luknja. Local on break tells me he emergency fixed the shelter from winter. Then up scree to Luknja where hikers refresh for ascent. I also eat banana and cookies. Above a Slovene joins me who lives in Switzerland (cook server in elderly home), says first time here. Of course I take him and guide him all the way (climb in steady medium rhythm, on steep parts grip wire firmly, if you fall catch yourself, clear scree on rocks, watch feet and holds and keep distance from overhanging rock face so swing or body touch doesn't surprise on ascent. Well it went ok, just above before chimney he wonders where's the path now? Yeah here over ledge on top. In chimney five Croats going down and rocks flying. Pull him right to ledge (wire loop) since he had no helmet too. Arrives at summit after six hours (buddy rehab after knee ligament surgery-multiple stops). Sunday morning processions to top, noon normal. Down to Kredarica (I drink gamsa he solo) and head to easier slopes, past Stanič, to valley behind Cmir. Path nice, solitary, comfortable to big stone, then walking steep scree, snowfields and bushwhacking pines. Orientation downhill from valley bottom tricky even for experts, need to cross from far right screes at right height to left screes leading to forest.-generally I hit it well (from memory), so safely brought buddy to goal. Despite tough tour, he was thrilled at end and happy to see beautiful wild solitary valley. At end drag him to upper parking. When parting I gave him my email roktaprav, when he confidently said: You really are a proper Rok!, me ha ha and off we went. Mt. greetings -Roknasmeh

The worst is to go to Triglav at the weekend, Saturday or Sunday.
